Alex is great. His surf lessons were the best. Have nothing to do with Rivas though, he is dishonest and scammed us, and then tried to bribe us. It was such a bad experience with him that I never want to return to El Zonte.

Yes! There is a tiny bit of parking within the gate, and some street parking. El Zonte is very safe, but of course use good judgment and keep valuables with you

At the time I visited, I believe a private room was $28.
