Bungalows are located with direct entrance to the sea either from the beach or from the molo. They are surrounded by spectacular landscape of Cook's bay. Breakfast is very poor. What is recommended to sea in Moorea island is Belvedere view point and Hauru point...More
Homie, friendly and perfect to disconnect. Beautiful views, nice staff, good food and comfortable rooms. Sleep listening to the sound of the ocean and wake up looking at it. Definetly a place to come back :)
We were there 1st day after the High Season finished so not many people. The Bungalow was starting to show it's age but clean and comfortable, close to reception and Restaurant and very short walk to the water. Because we got it for a good...More
The price was decent but for that decent price we did expect screens on the windows and being able to lock the windows on our bungalow. Nothing was stolen of course, but - when traveling you feel more comfortable knowing your gear is locked away....More

We take the ferry both ways between Papeete and Moorea. There are 2 ferries, the Terevau and the Aremiti, which are both located at the same dock in Papeete, but at neighboring docks on Moorea. The Terevau was the cheaper of the 2 last trip.
They both take about half an hour to get from one island to the other, but are much cheaper than inter-island air and you can take more luggage. The airlines are much more strict about luggage weight since the Air Moorea crash back in 2007.
Contact the hotel you will be staying at prior to travelling to see if they have a shuttle that can pick you up and how much it costs if it is not included. If not, the taxi will be the most convenient as well as the more expensive way to go, but as I recall, they charge a flat rate.
There is also the bus (Le Truck), but it is very unpredictable and undependable as far as when it will leave the dock area to go to the hotels as the drivers usually wait until they have a full load. You might end up waiting hours before they go- we sat there for 3 hours the last time we used it and said never again.
We did not use either last few trips as we now always rent a car for a day or two to do our shopping when we first get there and arrange to have them pick us up at the ferry or walk across the road to AVIS. Then we reverse the procedure on the way back, however, we always stay for at least 3 weeks and have our own cooking facilities.
Sorry I can't be more help.
