I had the pleasure of stumbling across this place with a tour group, I was on via Access Africa! We walked into what was a magnificent view of the beach and what smelled like a divine spread. I got on line instantly for the buffet pile up. The food was so yummy and what a spread it was a fusion... More

I'm thinking the positive reviews for this place must have been paid off. The Bradt book is also on crack for considering this place. It looks great when you first enter and the restaurant seems to have a great ocean view. Then you learn there is no wifi (some crap about the salt in the air)... and they recommend using... More

When I'm in Cape-Coast, I go here regularly. You can get a table right on the edge of the ocean and watch the sun set over Elmina Bay. The food is safe if you stick to recently cooked items. Avoid lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise etc. The service is mind-blowing. You can order an item on the menu, the waiter will take... More

At first sight, the room looked nicely designed and spacious. But when we looked closer, we found mice turds on the floor and in the corners of the room. The room also smelled very strongly to mothballs. When I asked the staff why the room smelled so strong, she started to collect the balls from every corner of the room,... More

I love Mabels Table. I have stayed many times. The food is seasoned to perfection, the conversation is real, the Rabbi is enlightening and his wife is fabulous. The restaurant is kosher. The rooms are spacious and the ocean view is breath taking. You must experience it for yourself.

I'm on a study abroad program in Ghana for the semester and another guy on my program is family friends with the owner so luckily we stumbled upon this gem! The two owners and their daughter live on the property and are around and SO friendly. The man who owns it is active in the pan-africanism movement and will tell... More

The view of the big blue waves crashing against the rocks is relaxing and spectacular! Also Elmina castle is visible from one of their dining tables just near the ocean side. Ate a delicious grilled tilapia with all this in view. Rooms were affordable and AC is available.

The last time I stayed here, about seven years ago, I decamped to the hotel next door, One Africa. This time I took a look at One Africa and decided to stay here. Greatly improved accommodation. The food may have marginally deteriorated although this may be a signal of the crisis in Ghana fisheries.

Myself and 3 friends were volunteering in Ahotokurom only a 25 minuite walk from Mables table if that! We had not been in Ghana long when we met the other volunteers and were told about this place. To be honest we didnt expect much as we were surrounded by quite poor villages, we were wrong! Our first visit was at... More
