El Muro is the best place to stay in Lanquin. Max and Pelon are great and are very knowledgeable about the area. The guides they have are very fun and entertaining. We stayed longer than we expected because of how great everyone was. There is more to do than just Semuc. Ask about Tom about the hiking trails. Stay here...

I've stayed 3 nights at El Muro hostel in Lanquin and have an awesome experience there! The view from the main area is breathtaking and the staff will do everything to make you feel welcomed :) The tour to Semuc Champey offered by the hostel is really amazing, I totally recommend you to take it. Finally, the place was clean...

Definitely the best hostel in town! The dorms are great, clean, good beds and lockers! Great place upstairs to have a drink or simply just enjoy the view! Big shoutout too Max and Alex, they can help you out with everything and they party like animals! Overall I had a great stay and I definitely recommend it to everybody!

Max&Alex, the owners, good people and very helpful, can arrange everything you need. The room price are fair but the hot water in the dorms don't exist but there is some in the privet rooms. The hospitality and the environment makes you want to stay longer ang get drunk.

Stayed for 3nights. Simple large rooms with good large common area suitable for meeting other travellers. staff are fantastic, friendly, fun and ready to help. Like everywhere else in / around Semuc Champey there are no kitchen facilities, however the food available at El Muro is good western fare and reasonably priced. (For info there is not a lot on...

The bar area is very nice and fun with great hammocks and good wifi signal. The rooms are not good. Our room was tiny and very dark, with a bunk bad that was so low you couldn't sit on it. There was no hot water. When asked about it we were told there is hot water in only one room...

The owners are very nice and helpfull, and make you feel welcome straight away. The terrace is great and they serve good food. One point minus however for the (private) room. It is quite small, moist and not really clean. The shower has warm water however.

We stayed here for three nights. The hostel has a fine bar that serves breakfast, much and dinner. We went here in off season why we were the only guest on the hostel, but we still felt welcome. The rooms and beds are fine - the shower is cold in dorms and less cold in privates ;) but since we...

From the street it looks like another small house but inside you have a great terrace overlooking the luscious jungle around the village of Lanquin. Very affordable and great to make base camp if you want to enjoy the many attractions that Lanquin has to offer. The staff is friendly and the bar is a great place to meet not...

When we got off the shuttle it was dark and raining. One hostel kept at us to get in their truck and claimed they were the hostel we were looking for. We knew El Muro was close to the shuttle drop off and kept on walking. It is was just a block away and we were glad that is was...
