We just returned from a splendid trip to Roatan and we have Tranquilseas to thank for adding to the amazing experience. We split our stay; the first half in Tranquilseas and the second half in Pristine Bay.
The service just like the island itself is...More
We've just returned from a visit to Tranquilseas. My husband and I chose the lodge because it offered diving for him and yoga for me. Neither of us was disappointed.
The diving was great--the dive spots are located close to the lodge and so it...More
As a local, I've always loved visiting Tranquil Seas for the amazing tropical atmosphere, beautiful treehouse-like design, gorgeous sunset views, delicious food, attentive staff, etc....but recently my brother & his friend came to visit & decided to get open water certified. I selfishly chose the...More
We, a family with two kids (4 and 7 years), stayed in the Gecko cabana in August 2014 for 7 nights. The whole place has a very familiar atmosphere. Staff is relaxed but cares about their customers and makes you feel at home (thanks Monica...More

The beach that is in front of the hotel is also used as a road and frequently has cars and motorcycles traveling on it so it would not be safe for laying out. West Bay beach would be your best bet for sunbathing. The dock at Tranquilseas does have a couple of lounge chairs that you could sunbathe on though. I spent my honeymoon at Tranquilseas and LOVED it!

I've stayed at Tranquliseas twice now -- once in Octopus, which has an ocean view, and once in Tortuga, which does not. I found in both cases that I spent most of my time at the hotel on the restaurant deck mentioned by Lauren or down on the palapa on the water. You won't be disappointed if your room doesn't have an ocean view. There are plenty of places just steps away to take in the ocean and beautiful sunsets. It is a fantastic property with a great staff and amazing dive shop. I can't recommend it enough.
