I stayed at Buena Onda for just one night as it was sold out for the rest of my stay. Before my stay communication with the hostel was very easy - I spoke with Sophie via Whatsapp to arrange my stay. She was really helpful after i had a mix up with the dates. The hostel is set back from...

Loved my stay at Buena Onda so, so much! Came for 5 days, stayed 2 weeks. Great people, lots of communal meals, happy yoga some mornings, nice location just a few minutes walk to beach. Thank you Buena Onda!! See you again sometime :)

Let start with the good things; 1. Owner is nice. 2. Surrounding is green. Unfortunately we have to be honest that they're also bad things; 1. Internet was most of the time not working. 2. Most of the time the lights didn't work in the bathroom neither the water for the shower. I think they turn it of to save...

Sorry to ear that you did not enjoyed of the Hostel and West End. Roatan is a carribean island with mosquitoes, but conexion of Internet, little lights in the roads and expensive as almost all the island. I have one of the most cheapeast prices of Roatan... and yes is an Hostel, not an Hotel that it was i think...

I stayed five nights in Buena Onda and I truly appreciated my time there. The owner Sophie and the other hostel staff are very friendly and sometimes organized delicious common dinners for the guests (for a cost). The hostel is situated in a mostly local neighbourhood, which gives it a homely feeling with a jungle touch to it. The negative...

I LOVE this hostel. Great value. Adorable owner/manager. Sophie is very kind and caring. I had a great time staying here. A hurricane was poised to hit us and Sophie made sure we would all be safe and had access to everything we might need. It turned out that it missed us but it was an exciting day/night waiting by...

What a lovely hostel !! Great price and Sophie the owner is wonderful too! Although it's not right on the beach it doesn't matter it's beautiful with a wicked chill out area and is still only like a 5 min walk to beach and beach road! Definitely stay here!!

Nice hostel, pretty cheap, kitchen is good, a microwave would be a good improvement though. The terrace with the hammocks is an awesome place to get relaxed and fall sleep. The host is very nice, she's always paying attention to your inquires and helps to find supermarkets, beaches and fun around the neighbor as well

Amazing hostel; close to the beach, nice bars and restauras and in a quiet area. Met a lot of people and had great moments. Loved chilling out at roof terrace. Thanks Sofi for making me feel like at home and for your efforts fighting against mosquitos!. No doubt in choosing again this place.

I recently stayed at this hostel with a friend and our experience in this hostel was almost completely terrible for two reasons: location and price. It's a 'short 10 minute walk from the beach' but that short walk is down a street that we were not comfortable walking at night. It's windy with no lights or sidewalk so cars can't...

Sorry to hear that Bryan. I am sophie the owner and was away for this days. I heard when I was back that you left the Hostel without saying nothing and not complain. We could have arrange something. I know that Roatan has Electricity problem sometime and more now that they are changing all the electricity support and heard that...

I'd say this is an ideal budget option for older travellers, also good for younger backpackers, but the over 30s don't feel out of place. Fully equipped kitchen, rooms may be a better option than the dorm, which is rather dark and not so spacious. But the important bits are all positive, a big roof-top terrace with lounging options, wifi,...
