Shomamalai Bungalow built in 1926, the Sholamalai Bungalow perched on a hillock offers expensive views all around. The Casuarina overhanging the low sloping roof as well as the landscaped gardens and the long driveway are typical of British homesteads in the tea estates during that time. This 83-year-old bungalow is tastefully furnished and most of its original fitments are still surprisingly intact with ethnic colors and designs complimenting the layout and the layout and the highly polished teakwood floors radiating richness to a setting seemingly far removed from the grit and grime of modern urban living spaces. Herds of wild elephants as well as wild rabbits and flying squirrels are often sighted in the visibility.CHUNDAVARRAI BUNGALOWThis bungalow outwardly framed with a lush green wooded backdrop complimented with spacious lawns in the front yard unfolds before you like a picture book With walls of granite, and a sloping roof offset by a flat-roofed porch up front, this bungalow is typically English in style and the surroundings faultless. If you are lucky you might chance upon furry wild rabbits and/or jungle fowls racing to and from the forests while sipping your tea in the garden—so keep your eyes peeled as they are often well camouflaged. The interiors are warmed by strategically located fireplaces and the atmosphere is crisp and clean.
