We spent three wonderful days and nights at Kollenkeril. Joseph and his staff, including his brother who is a fine cook, couldn't have been more solicitous. Joseph, who is a first-rate agronomist also found the time to take us through his "plantation" surrounding the bungalow. Our room was very comfortable, including the beds, and the bathroom was clean as can...

We loved this place; the setting is lovely, away from the road and overlooking the mountains and the river far below. The plantation is coffee and cardamom, being just below the start of the tea plantations, so not as cool as Munnar in the evening, but very pleasant. The bird life is prolific and lends a sense of paradise. Joseph...

We were moved here by our agent after a horrendous experience elsewhere and Joseph and his wife kindly let us have their guest room in their own house, as the main house was already full with our friends. What a fabulous experience we had at this homestay. We were truly treated like part of the family. The food was exceptional...

Stayed here for 9 nights in March. Our party had all the available rooms (5), so we had a House party atmosphere. The first look at the House , with it's beautifully manicured gardens, and views, was breathtaking. Joseph the manager, James the chef, and Eldhose, Could not have done more to make it a perfect stay. Joseph took us...

We had a fantastic time staying here for two days. Outside the house is a tree house. Watching sunrise from up there, with nothing but the sounds of nature in the background, sipping a cup of coffee was a moment we would never forget. We were well fed by food of our choice by an excellent cook and our every...

I read almost all the reviews by people about this place so I won't write much. I learned a lesson after visiting this place; if you go to any destination don't roam around and waste your time just find out a perfect spot and stay there . I came to know about this place from one of my colleagues Ms...

Me and my wife doesn't two nights in the homestay and really enjoyed the tranquility and the views. The caretaker took us to a tour of the small plantation that surrounds it and showed us all sorts of spices that they cultivate. We had dinner there one of the nights and the food was home cooked and amazing. Breakfast was...

I'm not kidding, this bungalow overlooks a rolling scene of mountain tops shadowing a deep valley, and just watching the morning mist rise up over the lush grounds is worth the journey. Beds are the softest I found in home stays, and the bungalow is beautiful- really colonial era furniture. The food was amazing, and the host lovely.

Firstly let me say I am not really a homestay regular. I prefer to holiday with a bit of luxury - my budget days have passed. However this visit made me change my mind. the bungalow is well maintained . Bathrooms are clean and typical of the area but could do with a little modernising. From the moment we arrived...
