Booked two nights, paid in advance. Got there and you can tell by driving into the parking lot that you're in for a shock. The lobby is not lite - dark and smelly. You can see the restaurant have moved out leaving a pile of old furniture. The elevator got stuck briefly. The door handle to the room fell off...

Ayutthaya was the pitfall of otherwise enjoyable SE Asian trip. The city reflects the accommodation on offer, very poor. Photos of the hotel would appear to be decades old, and bear no resemblance to current state. Observation of Ayutthaya generally, filthy, old and decrepit, and that's not a reference to the historical area. Booked for two nights in Ayutthaya, spent...

This place needs some serious attention, but so do all hotels in Ayutthaya by the looks of it...everything is old and dated. Staff are fairly helpful, but wouldn't recommend this place if you are extremely picky. Breakfast is a shocker - go elsewhere.

Horrible, don't even stay for one night!! The reception area gives you the impression that it's a nice hotel but it's the opposite. Bathrooms are the worst part and staff are totally unhelpful. Stay away!

Located approx 5 min walking distance from the train station. 7/11 and Tesco approx 2 min away. Rooms were specious, however not very clean, one could see that the room service did not do a great job. Otherwise WiFi available only in the lobby.

I really didn't feel comfortable to stay at this hotel even one night. Everything was so shabby, I wasn't pleased to find blemish from our towels... and they had a problem with the heater so we couldn't use any hot water. Still we needed to PAY to use their wifi, no apologies for the bad condition of the hotel and...

Hello Traveler, Thank you very much to come to Thailand and visit Ayutthaya, the ancient city of Thailand. I am very sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant feeling when stayed with us. But I thank you for your valuable comments. As of now the hot water system has been fix (trouble with the solar system heater) and the...

Our Ayathuay tour company brought us to the buffet restaurant at the Ayothaya Riverside Hotel. Big disappointment. Basic lunch buffet, with only chicken as a meat dish. Non Thai alternative was pasta. Tables not very clear. Rip off prices for soft drinks. Should have bought our own outside! Try to avoid.

Hello Traveler, It's been so long since you put on the review. As a new Resident Manager for Ayothaya Riverside Hotel, I take your comment seriously. What have I done you may ask. First, I put our lunch service into a major overhaul. The new Thai dishes menu is coming. Over price drink you say. Yep, that would have to...

Simply the worst experience i have had. Rude and unhelpful front of house staff, dirty dated rooms, aircon that sounds like a plane taking off, cold horrible breakfast. If you get a room on the right side of the hotel expect a view of an old brick building, pay the extra 170 baht and get the deluxe room with a...

Hello Traveler, As for today (Dec 2015), our hotel has been improved on many aspects. Many changes are just right to your comment. Most of the reception staffs have been replaced. New guys and girls might not be that professional as that of a four or five stars hotel, but they sure would help all guesses to their best knowledge...

It is almost a joke. The rooms are old and dirty. The breakfast is terrible. There was even a mouse running away from the breakfast table. We were almost the only guests. All room doors on our floor were open so we could just walk in everywhere. We had the feeling we were in a kind of ghost hotel. The...

Looking at the reviews on has the impression that is is as God as the Oriental in Bangkok I'd not better. Far from reality. Located between the river and the Trainstation , the possibility of sleeping is destroyed. Maintenance simply horrible, staff demotivated , rooms filthy , air con needed because it's louder than outside noise. The restaurant ,floating ,...
