We met and talked to the family that owns and run the hotel. Wonderful people! The bar/restaurant was overlooking the water. We had great food every meal. The room was a little cabin with many stairs leading up to it. Staff helped us with our belongings. The bed was very hard! We had trouble sleeping because the mattress was so...

Ultimate respect for this beautiful family run resort. Perfect location, peaceful and delicious home cooked food. Couldn't have wished for a more welcoming and hospitable reception after the more touristy resorts that sap energy. Very accommodating and great transport to and from ferry. I hope this place retains its integrity with increasing number of visitors! However that's all up to...

First room up the hill we got was filthy, steps to toilet were totally covered in gecko droppings and room was not cleaned at all. Even the cleaner was surprised when she came over. Second room we got was down near the beach and it was good and had a stunning view. Food wasn't good, other resorts by the beach...

We found this resort the night before we arrived as we had been having trouble finding a place which had enough space for our rather large group of 10! When we arrived, we were treated incredibly well and were immediately offered drinks and snacks which were much needed after our long journey from our previous location. The staff at this...

Had a great stay at Bamboo Bay Resort. There was 3 of us and the room was more than adequate and suited our needs perfectly. Great view from the room and balcony. Good food at the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff met all of our needs. The Bamboo Bay beach is beautiful and not crowded; a great place to hang-out...

Visited the in-house restaurant on 8 Feb 2016 after an unexpected short visit to Lanta Old Town and Viewpoint Restaurant. The tables at the side were all occupied so I settled for a table further away but still good enough to face the gorgeous view of Kantiang Bay. Ordered stir fry seafood with garlic and pepper to pair with white...

Nicely situated, with a beautiful view from the balcony. But the standard of the room is NOT worth the money. The restaurant is a bit overpriced and the service is pretty slow. Stayed there two nights, before we went to the Klongjark resort just 600 meters away. Here we could get a beachfront bungalow for half the price. And the...

My wife and I have travelled several times in Thailand and the Bamboo Bay Resort has been our worst experience so far. It all started a couple of days before our prepaid booking. We had changed our plans and arrived 2 days earlier. As the boat got very late we just took our chances and arrived at the resort in...

I stayed at Bamboo Bay for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. First, I was not satisfied with the room I was given, so I kindly asked for a different bungalow and got it. The location is very ideal for anyone wishing to disconnect and enjoy the quiet of the surroundings. The resort is right by the beach and...

Bamboo Bay resort was really a positive surprice. After spending a week on luxury hotels in Krabi and on Phi Phi, I did not expect much from this "low budget hotel. But I was wrong. This is really a good place. The beach is beautiful and watching the sunset from the bar is really a dream come true.
