From the minute we arrived all of the staff were soooooo welcoming! We've stayed at a lot of places but we've never been so welcomed into a hostel! It has an amazing chilled out vibe! Even though the island was really quiet (it was July so low season,) it didn't matter because the hostel made our stay! Rosie and Matt...

Chill Out House is one of the most amazing places I visited during my 2-month trip in Southeast Asia. It's architecture and design make you feel at home and its staff is perfect. I was gonna stay there for 2 days, but after all I spent a week there chilling out, enjoying great sunsets and having good talks. I really...

Stay there guys, can't beat the price and the welcoming atmosphere. It's one of those places where you go to stay 2 days but end up staying a week. The only downside is when it rains, you get wet, as the roof had some leaks, but the pros greatly outweigh the cons.

gosh we had such a hard time with our roofs this past rainy season! I've driven myself mad sometimes, standing under covered roof 10 meters in all directions, still feeling little drops and saying "how the heck is this possible?!" lol. Thank god that sideways rain doesn't last all year, eh? We did in fact replace 2 full roofs this...

In Feb/March 2015 I decided to travel through Southeast-Asia. The only thing I planned about my trip was ending on the islands of Thailand. I wanted to start in Ko Lanta and stay on other islands as well. But the minute I arrived in the Chill Out House I knew that my 3-4 days stay would not be enough. I...

Chill Out House couldn't be what it is without the great community of people who roll through it! Thanks for making it great :) Oh hey and if you think Jay is a rockstar, you should come back and meet his new little sister Mali ;)

The best people and the chill-est place ever!! It feels like a little family and the sunset on the beach every night is amazing! There's plenty of day beds, hammocks, swings and tables for everyone to hang during the day and have drinks at night.

When you walk into Chill Out House, you instantly feel like your home. This might have to slightly to do with the fact that I've been there before but still... It's an aptly named hostel, with plenty of cushions, benches and chairs to at around and socialize together. The architecture of the place inherently brings each other together. The staff...

Went in with 0 bites came out with 100! The place was definitely not for me but If you want to be surrounded by wanna be 'hippies' go here! I've had better sleeps in tents. The best part of this hostel was the adorable puppy, the staff were also helpful enough.

Staying at Chill Out house felt like I was at my own house. It was chill, relaxed and the owners were the best ( yes, you guys, Jessie and Marilyn). The people who work at chill out house mostly are backpackers themselves who volunteer. Dorms are good and cheap. Trust me on this one, it's the best. Thank you for...

Basically think of taking loads of cushions off your parents couch, making little dens in your front room and making secret places in the forest as a child, that's what chill out house is like but better! It's has hammocks and loads of places to chill out and socialise with other guests. Loads of games to play which turned into...

Over my 5 days on the island i stopped for a drink at Chill Out House everyday. The vibe was well laid back and the fellow travellers were all friendly and welcoming. Hammocks and lounges were in high supply and (even tho i wasnt a guest) i was allowed to use there facilities and snorkel equipement free of charge. The...

“I LOVED MONKEY ROOM (it s a real TREE HOUSE... then you can feel the wind at night), but if you are a couple... go for the BUNGALOWS (you have more privacy and ensuite toilet)”

“I stayed in the sunrise room - I highly recommend it (sleeps two on a double bed)”

“Tip: You're staying in a treehouse (cool eh?) BUT that does mean that mosquito bites are common. The staff try everything they can to ensure mosquitos are kept to a minimum but it is up to you to add that all important mosquito cream! Tip 2 (rooms): There are 3 dorm rooms and a few private rooms + bungalows (but I am yet to stay in any private rooms. The three dorms are Reggae, Loft and Monkey. Each dorm has it's own style but I would suggest either staying in Monkey (my personal favorite and three floors up)) or Loft! Reggae is on the ground floor and is a little too small for my liking.”

“There are different types of rooms to accommodate different types of travellers, although if you are a couple who are pretty loved up I suggest you get a bungalow and the rest of the hostel is made from wood and not very soundproof :)”
