We booked two nights at Royal Lanta during off season with the intention to extend our stay if we like the place. Honestly the Royal Lanta is everything I had in mind when making my booking. Nice manicured and lush tropical garden, lovely small Thai style bungalows located right on the beach (klong dao). It is good value for the...

Koh Lanta island has a wonderful 1970's hippie vibe still - & a beautiful shallow bay. The hotel we found a bit odd, so I've tried to list the pro's & cons: Pro's - fab location in the middle of the beach & wonderfully designed traditional buildings; we upgraded & had a bungalow room on the left as you walk...

Visited Royal Lanta in December 2011 over Christmas for our honeymoon. Read previous reviews about foul smell and took it up with travel agent who got in touch with Royal Lanta and was given PERSONAL GUARANTEE from the manager that it would not be an issue for our trip. It was and is. We paid the premium price for the...

We have visited this hotel several times over the last few years and love everything about it. The location right in the middle of the main beach is perfect for walking locally to small beach bars and restaurants, yet only a few minutes by tuk tuk to the main town of Saladan for your shopping, restaurants by the sea and...

Our family stayed in this hotel at January 2012. Our room was a Mountain view suite and there was room enough for two extra beds for kids. Only pillows were horrible; so thick that idea of sleeping on them was impossible. The hotel area was very clean and nicely kept. Specially eveningtimes there were lot of frogs that were jumping...
