We stayed at Relax Bay Resort for 4 nights. + pick up service is free, which is really nice + staff is friendly and helpful, expect in the restaurant area (see below) + the bay (beach) is ok, not many people but there are many many better beaches in Thailand + you can walk to other restaurants on the beach...

Nice huts in beautiful garden, with fine pool primarily for children. Great beach with small huts. Snorkling possible. Fine restaurant. Breakfast with 'everything', including cheese. Friendly, serviceminded staff.

Great resort, so relaxing, super friendly staff and very reactive on emails. The beach is amazing, the restaurant and bar are great too. Bungalow was big and clean and only 20 metres from from the beach! Will come back!

Hello Raphael. Thanks for the 5 starr. And ill tell Niab about your comment on the mil response. Takes him 7-8 hours a day to answer. really, no kidding. We have Ac in our office, but... 7-8 hours in a office in paradise.... one wonders... I must say, i did it too, but he is better. but yeah, we do...

This beautiful tropical beach resort has everything and is truly relaxing. We booked one night and stayed for twelve. Food and service is outstanding and the location perfect (small bay with only a few small resorts and one great bar/restaurant). It will be closing in two years time and will be redeveloped by Chinese owners, so I would highly recommend...

It is one of those places that you want to rate badly so that people don't keep going and it preserves as amazing as it is. Yes there is no electricity during the day and no hot water, but the experience of being in such a gorgeous place overcomes that easily. The only thing that could definitely be improved is...

This was our second visit to Relax Bay. A wonderful quiet and relaxing place to stay. You have a lovely private beach and bar to enjoy. Very convenient location if you want to be just outside the main busier areas, but only a short motor bike ride away if you want to venture out as we did. I would say...

Family friendly resort, standing there for more than a decade, it is a little gem on this island. The opposite of Samui or Phuket, it is still quite virgin and this resort is really agreable. Super massage, beautiful beach, what else do we need?

We have been here twice now and both times have not wanted to leave, sadly it seems there may only be a few years left to be bale to experience this outstanding resort. If you are looking for a complete chill then Relax is where to be. The accommodation is basic but of a good standard, however the location makes...

We spent five days here in December 2016 (we were only booked in for four, but we loved it so much we extended it an extra day). - The cabins were lovely. No A/C, but the fan above the bed is powerful and we were never too hot. The rooms are definitely rustic, but perfectly clean and comfortable. For the...

Hello Johnny. Thanks for your 5 starr. And thank you for speaking good about the staff. They really do their jobs correct. I am proud of them. Always sad when customers complain about them. Sometimes rightly, but mostly because of some misunderstanding in language and culture. If that happen, staff blocks and just smiles. I ll tell them there was...

we would definitely recommend this place to our friends (with kids) and would also come back there ourselves. Bungalows are basic but well-maintained and clean. the whole resort is very natural (monitor-lizards visited daily, a monkey once, and big fruit bats roam the skies on a calm night). The bay is small (as opposed to the long stretched beaches around...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Relax bay is not your average hotel. If you look for a traditional hotel with AC, concrete walls and all amenities you can find in any deluxe hotel anywhere in the world. Well, we are not the place to be. Our rooms are Huts, spaced between 5 and 10 m from each other and set in a as Jungle-ish possible setting. There is almost no concrete and we constructed our bungalows under the trees. This means they are in the shade. Furthermore the grass-type roofs are overhanging and give protection against the sun and around the bungalows we planted flowers and plants to block out the sun. Shade means coolness but also darkness. Bamboo, a living natural product also soaks up the moisture in the air. We air the rooms, but they always smell a bit Bamboo-ish. They do not smell damp and not well kept, they smell natural. Our roofs are made from grass, so they disintegrate after a time. They are not as waterproof as concrete, or tar roofs. However they are much cooler. and they look much better. Prices on the net should be the same everywhere , but you are best served by making a direct reservation at the hotel. ... more   less
