We booked Baan Manali as we had stayed in a few places during our time on Ko Phangan, but having spent some time on the East of the Island we really wanted a sunset view for our last night. It was close to Thong Sala too so really convenient for our ferry the next day. When we arrived we wished... More

We stayed at the Baan Manali for 5 nights end of July and had the most amazing time! The resort is beautiful we could not fault one thing, within a short stroll to town where they have lots of shops and a great food hall, there is also a night market held every saturday night which is a must do.... We booked this place for our final night on the island as it was very close to the pier. Having spent over double what we had done on our last accommodation we had high hopes. The bungalow was very nice but the beach next to it was slightly disappointing, however what frustrated us most about the place was the no... More

Dear Leelee83 We apologize for the inconvenience about your check out. We usually inform the guest about the process of the check out during check in. It is certainly an oversight from our team. We also put the reception working hour on the information about the hotel on booking.com , on the rule of the hotel (who appears on the... More

Baan Manali, in short, is a beautifully secluded resort on the beach-front, run by the equally as brilliant Sebastian and his wife. It's a really serene place in between the hustle and bustle of Koh Phangan, which is known for being a party island. You can order a taxi and be only ten or twenty minutes away from all of... More

This was a 2 night stay prior to our return ferry to Koh Samui. We arrived here having just checked out of the 5* Santhiya Resort & Spa in the north of Koh Phanang...perhaps this may have been why we were slightly disappointed. The check in process was not straight forward, and seemed to take quite some time. We were... More

Dear M. Waite We are quite disappointed you did not enjoy your stay with us. We put a lot of effort to satisfy our guest, while remaining fair in the service they purchase. We are sorry your expectation was not fulfill, but, as you wrote it, it is true that coming from a 5* hotel , 6 time more expensive... More

Baan Manali is a great resort, hidden away down a track away from what feels like the rest of civilisation. They have little bungalow rooms which aren't overly large but are very cosy and comfortable. The resort is a great place to get away from the 'scene' that is Koh Phangan, but at the same time, not too far away... More

We stayed for 10 nights and really enjoyed Baan Manali. The location was perfect, close enough to walk into Thongsala for shops, market and restaurants, and an easy scooter ride to wonderful beaches such as Haad Salad. The bungalow was comfortable with an excellent verandah and hammock. Small but lovely swimming pool. Spacious grounds with lots of greenery. Great breakfast... More

This establishment is run by a couple, whom I found to both be very helpful. The husband I noted had been labelled in previous reviews on Trip Advisor as being unhelpful, but I did not experience this at all. He was in fact very helpful when approached, but I think is just a bit shy. A great place to stay,... More

For us a really satisfying stay hinges on vibe more than anything. This place did not have the vibe we seek. There is nothing particularly wrong with it. In fact, the owners and team run a tight ship. But it was a bit soulless, and felt like a number of disparate bungalows in a complex with no heart. The bungalows... More
