I chose Ananda Wellness Resort for its alignment-based yoga teacher's training. Johnny was a great teacher. There were topics which really piqued my interest and which I want to explore more such as a deeper research on anatomy and adjustments and breathing techniques. At the...More

I'm considering a detox (never done before) and yoga (have had a whole 1 session) combination. Is that a good combination or are you way too tired from not eating to even contemplate yoga? What is a good length of time for a first timer? Thanks!

We have many guests who undergo their very first detox at our center. Our program is time-proven and set up in a way that is very easy for people to start, follow, AND stick to for the whole duration of the detox (even while fasting!). For yoga, it is not a problem even if you're a beginner. We generally do recommend yoga to be considered an optional part of the detox program. We ask that you see how your body does during your detox, day by day. Some people find yoga to be a great combination, while others find it not necessary for their detox. Regarding the length of time of detox, we highly recommend the 7 day program for a full clean. Thank you for your question and we hope to welcome you soon to our friendly wellness resort!

"The bungalows look great but I'll be good to stay in a dorm to meet people from all over the world."
