When we originally planned our trip in April 2016, we read the reviews on this place and thought it sounded perfect for the price of 6 people for 3 nights. Don't get me wrong, the views are amazing! However climbing over and under slippery rocks (see the pictures) near the sea was far from ideal especially with large back packs....

We visited the place during rain season, but were quite "unlucky" regarding the rain. But we felt as if we were the only people in the bay. Once in a while a visiting boat, but that was it. Our house was opposite of the restaurant (at that time the only open place) and we had a very quiet and pleasant...

I visited Mai Pen Rai for only a day and a half, but I would have stayed longer if I had the chance. It's truly peaceful and the bay is absolutely amazing. The staff was super friendly. I stayed in a beach bungalow, which was very comfortable. There's just something about waking up and walking 20m further for a swim...

We were there for three days. The staff was not very friendly and the Bungalows were messy and smelled very bad. The Food was okay, but not the best There were also some giant lizards, and the sea was a bit filthy.

This was my fifth visit to Mai Pen Rai Bungalows, and I found everything I was looking for in a great vacation. With the recent paving of the road to Than Sadet, getting to Mai Pen Rai is now a breeze. As always, the beach was pristine. It was my first visit in September, and I found the water particularly...

This is a fantastic location & we loved our cliff side bungalow that had a hammock with balcony which over-looked bay with fantastic views! The room is very basic but has all you need, could possibly be cleaned more thoroughly. Really enjoyed stay here because of the beach, sea which is great for swimming in because it get deep quite...

Spent 2 weeks at Mai pen rai and was the best 2 weeks of our lives so far! The rustic feel and the chilled vibe added to the charm of the beautiful setting. We stayed in a family bungalow on the rocks which was perfect for our young family (2 year old and 7 year old). We saw so much...

This surely is a great hotel for the backpacker who wants to rest and not do anything but I found it a little bit too chill. It took the restaurant staff 10 minutes to deliver a beer and they sometimes forgot what we ordered and didn't bother to ask us, they just left it at that. Sometimes some people in...

I spent the last three weeks here. It was fab. Beautiful views, sand and sea. You can snorkle just a couple of feet into the sea and there are so many things to see. The restaurant has really good freshly made local food. The monitor lizards were pretty cool too. It is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the...
