We stayed at Viking Natures Resort for 2 nights but I guess it wasn´t enough :) It´s a perfect place if you are looking for a relaxing stay away from the crowds. We were upgraded from standard rooms to superior rooms which was really nice. I recommend to book at least standard rooms, the traditional rooms are a bit far away from the beach and restaurant. The staff was also very nice and helpful, it made our stay even better.

I absolutely recommend to stay in this hotel if you are looking for a calm stay in nature.

We booked a traditional room for 2 nights and thats enough time on the island to see the main attractions. We also rented a longtail boat on second day from nearby beach, no need to go to town. Free transfer from pier works great. First impressions was WOW for the turquoise ocean view from terrace and hammock on balcony. Not expected at all. The property is very much in rustic nature and demanding to walk to town even for fit people in this heat. Reception was far too. Breakfast is delicious and buffet style. The bungalow has 3 separate rooms accessible from balcony: small bedroom, closet room and shower room. Toilet is accessible from bedroom, somewhat weird layout.
I reccommend room R10 and would stay again.

Cons: slight sewage smell sometimes in room. Longtail boats making loud noise early in the morning.

We stayed at Viking resort for 4 nights.
Our room was perfect: clean, big, terrace in front of the sea with an amazing view of the sunset and a really nice hammock as well.
The staff was really nice, all young people and they were always available to help you.
Breakfast was good with different options for food : eggs, pancakes, sausages, fruit, yogurt everything you can look for.
Unfortunately I am not able to give 5 stars because all the peace is destroyed by the noisy boats that are passing in front of the resort continusly due to the nearness to the main pier. At the same time you are able to reach the centre in 5 minutes.
Anyway I would recommend this resort and I would come back!

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Phi Phi. We looked at the reviews before booking and thought we were going to have an amazing two nights away in a tree house.. That wasn't what happened. We arrived in the morning and we were able to check in early and that was probably the best part about our stay. The room looked good and clean but then we headed into town (20 min walk along an uneven path and parts of the beach) and came back to feases in the bedroom on the desk and on the cups and saucers. The fan kept blowing the the mosquito net during the night and we ended up covered in bites. I tried to close the windows and they wouldn't close, went down to reception who didn't want to help and told me they could have a look tomorrow. In the end they sent a total of 3 people up to have a look and try and close them but couldn't so we swapped rooms but the second room was even worse, it was late and dark and the shower and toilet were outside. The shower has no hot water and all the water is salt water. There was also no way to turn the lights off in the new room as it was part joined to another room. We ended up packing back up and going to the original room. Didn't sleep very well at all as you can imagine with all 4 walls covered in windows all wide open, the netting broken from them trying to close the windows and the noise from outside with people walking, monkeys, cats and long-tail boats. (They didn't end up fixing these either they just came and took the turney bits off and left the windows wide open, and the curtains don't even cover the whole window so anyone can see inside) Breakfast wasn't much choice ended up just having 2 fried eggs and the food wasn't very warm either, it's also full of cats. We stayed out all day to avoid going back to the room (view point is over an hour walk from here). After again another bad night's sleep, to top it off just before we went to check out we went to open the safe to get our stuff and the safe had broken. I called reception at 7:30 and was told someone would be in at 8 and they would send them up... at 8:20 I called again and was then told someone would be in at 9. At this point we were going to miss our ferry. Eventually they sent someone up for him to tell me it was broken! *that's the reason why I called them in the first place* he managed to get it open and we got our stuff out but this just topped off the awful stay that we had. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The reception staff and rude and not at all helpful. They boys were great helping with luggage and helping you on and off the boats but that is the only good thing I have to say about this place.

Our room was a new one with lots of space, nice views, an exterior great balcony and fantastic decor. The private beach is a true gem, very small but only used by the hotel guests. The young guys working there are very polite and always willing to help contrasting with the management and older staff. Location couldn't be more peaceful although you can't avoid the annoying noise of the longtail boats passing. Food and breakfast is decent.

Disliked : We had a very unpleasant episode at the hotel. To go to town you have to take the longtail boat. We booked the boat to have dinner in town and it was a mess, we were called to be there earlier because of the tide, then we were told to wait for more than 1:30 hours and no solution was offered. The hotel boat driver was completely drunk! Another boat came to drop other guests and I took it to town, the guy explained there was no tide issues at anytime! The management did nothing to solve our problem, they saw they spoilt our evening but didn't even offered a dinner to compensate! On the following day, when checking out they charged the lemonade my daughter had while waiting for there boat! They even charge the ice if you ask for a bucket to keep the drinks cold during dinner! This is the worst service and management possible, it is not customer oriented at all, they're just greedy and unfriendly.
Remember that each time you want to leave the resort you have to use the taxi boat and pay for it 100 Baht per person during daytime and 150 Baht per person at night time, this increases the cost of staying here.

As the name says it is nature resort. The rooms are built within the forest with natural walkways and wooden architecture. You will feel as if you are in a forest. I stayed there for 8 nights and loved the entire experience.

It is a 25 minute walk to the main town or you can take a taxi boat from the resort for thb 100. Check in and check out transfers are free.

Only stayed here one night unfortunately but the deluxe bungalow was luxury! It was massive with 4 poster bed, seating area, big balcony with hammock and large bathroom including a bath. I was seriously impressed with the quality and it was very romantic. Vikings is a small resort with its own beach and restaurant and they will meet you at the harbour it takes about 10 mins in the longtail boat which is free. Staff were lovely.

Liked · The location is amazing, away from the noise of Phi Phi town centre. You can hear the longboats, but we weren't disturbed by them. The beaches are private only for the Viking residents, and there's plenty of stuff to hire like snorkels, kayaks etc. And they do massages on the beach!
Staff were super friendly, and the food was very reasonably priced. Try the BBQ for fresh seafood.
The walk into town is fine, it took us about 15-20 mins. Ask reception for a map and use the torch they provide and you'll be fine.
We had one of the smallest rooms due to the resort being very booked up. It is tight, but that's fairly reflected in the price.
Bed was comfy, the mosquito net was intact and the A/C worked a treat. The shower broke while we were there but it was fixed promptly by friendly staff.
Breakfast wasn't icluded but was only 200 Bhat each and had a good variety and was tasty.

Disliked · The location is away from the main town, and accessed to begin with by longboat which means getting your feet wet. No issue for us with only backpacks and wearing flip flops, but clearly was an issue for those who hadn't done their research and arrived all dressed up with multiple suitcases!
To get to the room is a bit of a hike, 5-10 mins of large stepping stones. Again, fine for us but wouldn't be good for those with mobility issues.
Mosquitos! You are literally in the jungle, so during 'golden hour' they are absolutely everywhere as to be expected.

Let me start with the fact that I don’t need much to feel well about an accommodation but the room I had is absolutely not worth the money; there’s non stop tremendous noise coming from the awful long tail boats coming and going the whole day and night even at 3 am. You can’t hear yourself thinking not even mentioning that there’s not a single chance to relax at this resort as it’s basically located about 10 meters from a highway of ferries, speedboats and these terrible crafts called long tails boats without silencers installed cruising 24/7. There’s obviously a lot of air pollution due to the giant traffic on the sea and trash laying all around the place. I had to do wash myself with a broken douche head in a bathroom covered in fungus. There were aunts all over the place( even in my bed) and millipede in my bath room. The bed was al right for me and breakfast was nice. Also the two massages that I took were great. The staff is friendly and accommodating doing their best.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights. The resort is along the coast and has a small beach. The resort is not ideal for anyone who is infirm or has difficulty walking up a hill. That said you could always book a room near the beach. We had a lovely standard room with balcony and hammock. The room was very clean and always had hot running water. The staff were really lovely and helpful. The walk into town is along a coastal path and it is lit up at night. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get into town. Long beach is reached by a short walk along the coast in the opposite direction. The beach there is not too busy and snorkelling at the far end is a must. My only complaint is the use of plastic straws at the resort. They stick a plastic straw in every drink and when we tried to explain about the damage plastics can cause to marine life the locals looked perplexed. Bring your own bamboo straw and reusable cup. Every day we also did a small litter pick on the beach because inevitably the some of the plastic straws, plastic cups and plastic bottles find their way to the shores. Having said that, the beaches are pretty clean but we can all do our bit to help.

Hi Bradley, As already suggested - I wouldn't advise staying here with children. It's a lovely place but not the most suitable has the steps up to the rooms can be quite challenging for those with little legs. Enjoy Phi Phi - it's a stunning part of the world.
