We didn’t want to be bang in the middle of everything, and wanted something a bit more luxurious than normal and this was perfect. It’s quiet, relaxing and the breakfast that is included is amazing! We hired mopeds (place just a few minutes away) so we could get around the island when we wanted to which we found very useful. We had a quick look at some other places we thought about booking and was so happy we stayed here. The staff were perfect and we loved seeing our crab friends every day.

We had our wedding vow renewal at the View Point Resort. To describe our experience in one word. SURREAL!

We visited Koh Tao about 10 years ago during our Honeymoon and fell in love with this idyllic island. We always had the dream to come back one day and stay at one of the top locations of this island. And a top location this was. I think this is even the best you can get. I can say this because we also stayed at another top resort called the Haad Thien in their luxurious castaway beach villa.

Our wedding planner / ceremony master Franzi Mitsch suggested to stay in pool villa no 4. This was the best suggestion ever. You have an astounding view on the sea, bay and hills from the infinity like pool. At the same time the villa is integrated harmonously into the surrounding nature. It has such a lovely garden and flowers. Everything feels just so nice and right. We had an outside rain shower with a superb view on the sea. Imagine showering with the pristine sea lying at your feet. Another rain shower was located in the bathroom which was half open and half closed blended into nature. Showering there felt like showering in the middle of the jungle surrounded by plants and trees. They have thought about every single detail. Another unique aspect of the villa is that it's Ypu have lots of privacy, peace and quiet. It feels like as if you are alone. That's why we preferred to stay at our villa most of the time. Especially waking up early in the morning, having room service and enjoying your breakfast with a breathtaking view and almost complete silence except for the natural sounds. This is a unique location for proposing, marrying or spending a honeymoon. Or to experience an out of this world romantic time with your loved one.

Thank you Franzi and the team so much for an unforgettable experience. We are still enjoying our time there. It feels so out of this world. Still enjoying the amazing view from our pool villa. In the morning, during the day, the sunset…..How the light and the colours changed.

View Point is one of my most favorite hotels. Killer views especially at the Sea Cottages. We watched the sunset from our deck every night. The pool is incredible. The food and breakfast buffet is high quality and tastes delicious. The staff is over the moon helpful and accommodating. They have a cheap hotel "taxi" that will take you in and out of town for half the price of a normal taxi. You can also walk to Chalock Bay really easily which has more of a low key vibe to it. We preferred that over the party vibes in Sairee. we also took a water taxi across the bay to Freedom Beach which was one of our favorite beaches. Would recommend this place. It was amazing!

Stayed in a garden bungalow as part of our honeymoon and View Point Resort was the best value for money of any place we stayed on our honeymoon. it felt 5* luxury with friendly staff and accomodating policies, like using their transportation for local taxi services.
On the night of our arrival, we got to share our ride with a local bird with a broken wing that the staff were taking to the animal hospital for care. It's that kind of place - where staff go above and beyond to help guests and the local community :)
Breakfast was excellent. Loved the reusable water vessels in the rooms. Loved the sound of the birds and lizards at night and in the morning from our garden bungalow. The bar was amazing and the Lemongrass cocktail was my favorite on my whole vacation. So good!
Note: you do need to make reservations in advance for a massage on site.
We didn't get a motorbike because we don't use one back in the US and it was very hilly/poor road conditions that made me nervous. So the taxi was essential to keeping our exploration reasonable.
Ended up choosing View Point on recommendation from Ocean Sound Dive and Yoga where we did our open water dive certification. Enjoyed our time in Koh Tao very much!

We recently stayed at the View Point resort in Koh Tao. What an amazing setting!
This resort is out of the way but the perfect island escape. The rooms are nicely decorated with good air con! We came for a special anniversary, we were a little disappointed as we had been promised that our room would be decorated & a complimentary bottle of wine would be waiting for us however this was not the case- I wish they hadn’t of promised this.

The restaurant is nice but a little overpriced for what you get in comparison to the main area Sairee Beach.

It is quiet difficult to get to if you are travelling on bike but the hotel offer a free taxi service which is great for those without their own mode of transport.

The pool area is very very nice, with a nice upper deck bathing area which is a little bit more private.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We spend 10 very nice days at the View Point Resort. Due to Covid, the usually very popular tourist island of Koh Tao was almost without tourists at all. So also this resort was very empty on some of the days we stayed there. The property is huge, so you basically feel like being alone in the jungle in your very private, little villa. Which doesn’t mean that we were missing service. Not at all. As a guest you could rely on getting tasty food and drinks in the restaurant and pool bar and the whole grounds were well kept.
The grounds are the most fascinating thing about this resort: it is widely spread over a mountain and spans from sea level up to 50 – 100 meters up the hill. The villas and huts have all beautiful views, either towards the bay or towards the open Gulf of Thailand.
The beauty of this resort comes from how it is embedded and surrounded by nature, beautiful tropical plants, sweeping sea views, and abundancy of life around you. All of that is topped by lovely little huts or luxury pool villas.
We absolutly loved it, but I would not recommend this resort, if someone is afraid of nature, as it surrounds you there.
Service was lovely at this resort, especially Victoria and Tata made sure, that we enjoyed our time in the restaurant. I can highly recommend the Pad Thai and the “small” garden salad – which is everything but small 😊

My husband and I stayed here December 21st-24th, 2019. We cannot say enough good things about it. Every aspect of this resort from their communication, location, kindness, hospitality, attention to detail, accommodation, facilities and staff were absolutely perfect. They picked us up from the ferry with cold water ready for us, helped us with our baggage, directed us to our villa and gave us a tour of the resort. Everyone we met was incredibly kind and helpful. The staff at View Point really blew us away. They made our time there extra special. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The views are breathtaking. This is by far the best place we've stayed and we are avid travellers. The food was so amazing that we ate there every night. My parents also stayed at the resort a few villas down and were equally in love and blown away. They have traveled extensively and agree it is one of their new favourite places. We highly recommend! Thank you for a perfect time away!

Overall, this is a lovely resort, very quiet and peaceful with unsurpassed views of Chalok Ban. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool was quite nice: clean water and amazing spot. There isn't really much of a beach, it's more an entry point if you want to go in the water.

While the peace of Chalok Ban is a treat to find on Koh Tao (unlike Sairee, which will have disco music blasting until midnight), the View Point is pretty isolated and it was a bit of a pain to have to take a taxi every time I wanted to venture out. The hotel does provide taxi service, tho they charge a per person/per ride fee. The road in and out of View Point are also very steep and windy, so I opted out of renting a motorbike (maybe some more adventurous would be up for this but make sure the bike has enough cc's to make it up the hills).

The only other issue was temperature control in the rooms. I was in a Deluxe Seaview, which had an AC wall unit + a fan. The AC had no regulation so it was either full blast or off, nothing in-between. It also seemed to be broken so I couldn't turn it off. I informed the front desk and they "fixed" it, which meant that they disabled it so it didn't work at all. I made due with the fan but it was toasty. It would be a great addition to the rooms if they could install screen doors on the sliding windows that go to the balcony. I would've loved to have the ocean sound & breeze but too many mosquitos to keep the door open without a screen.

The breakfast was nice, nothing fancy but definitely a good variety of options.

The resort is situated in a heavenly and quite scenery. Snorkeling directly in front of the resort is amazing with a diverse underwater world. The restaurant offers a lot of delicious choices (also for vegetarians). Room service is possible for some room categories. Massages are excellent and have a fair price. The complete staff is very motivated and friendly. The hotel should give their employees the voluntary opportunity to improve their English skills through exchange programs in English-speaking countries or language courses.

Some lovely pluses such as:
The beautiful views from the hotel and restaurant
Great upkeep of the gardens
Friendly, English speaking staff
Free shuttle to and from the ferry and into town on some days

However, the Covid situation seems to have taken a toll in a few ways:
- The pool was pretty dirty/full of debris and a bit neglected.
-Breakfast was very average and a very small selection for vegetarians. One day there was cold beans and greasy puff pastry squares (some supposedly croissants) with no jam. Horrible cold filter coffee, although you can request other drinks but staff don’t make that obvious.
-I had a male worker buzz into my room when I was in there alone, despite having the ‘do not disturb’ sign on. Not sure what he was coming to do or would’ve done had I not been there.

Would look at staying somewhere else if I came back.

Hello Sr. from our resort you can get access to 2 small beaches next to our restaurant, and walking around 10 minutes you can get to Chalok Bay or Sai Nuan Bay (you probably can google some pictures to see how it looks like) Thank you.

from Bangkok to koh tao there are no flights. you have to take a ferry. I don't know how far away the places are in miles. but it took us an hour and 15 mins to fly from Bangkok to koh samui and then took 2 and half hrs by boat to reach koh tao.
