It's a shame. The hotel is only five years old, but lack of love means it feels much older. It's clear that when built the place was probably quite funky cool and it wouldn't have taken much effort to keep it like that. The rooms were a bit grubby and smelled damp, half of the lightbulbs were out. On the...

The free accommodation was fully booked for the dive school, so we upgraded and stayed in these. Very nice rooms, inexpensive and just down the road from Fizz (best food in Koh Tao). Perfect :) All done through DJL dive school so never dealt with the staff at the guest house.

This was the 3rd place I stayed on Koh Tao and by far the best. Me and 2 other friends wanted a beach bungalow with the basics. Considering this was the cheapest we found, it was also the best. The bungalows are in a great location, surrounded by trees with the sand on your doorstep and the ocean a few...

We found Koh Tao to be a difficult place to find accommodation if you didn't book in advance. We found this place on our second night in Koh Tao and quite enjoyed it. We paid 1,000 baht for a fan room, double. It wasn't cheap, but this island is a bit more expensive for most places. We were pretty happy...

Arrived on the island we have come to take for free with a bus and arrived at the hotel we took their bungalows on the beach front. They do not serve breakfast, but there is a nice bar opposite the hotel on the way for a great breakfast and on the beach there is a wonderful inviting lounge-bar with a...

Our worst Hotel in five years in Thaïland !! Look great on the fpapaer but it was a lie. The swimming pool is the property of the diving school and they use it all day so you just can't enjoy it. They never said that before. Nothing special to say about the room, little bit expensive for the quality. BUT,...

We stayed in the hotel part and our friends stayed in the bungalows. The room was fine but I think a little overpriced when you can get a nicer room for 2/3 the price at sairee hut resort two minutes away. Our room also flooded in the corner, not a problem as not huge but we told the staff a...

We stayed here for two nights after leaving a nearby hotel (due to building work) and as our friends were also staying here. The bungalows are in an excellent location which can't be faulted and there is a young backpacker feel to the place....but that's all we really liked. The rooms were very dark and dingy and very dated. We...

We stayed at Silver Sands Hotel in Aug 2012. The room looked nice and it was well located but what was the surprise when in the middle of the night a huge rat woke us up!!! The reception at this time was closed (only opens 8.00-20.00) so we had to "wait" until it opened. We obviously complained but the two...

I stayed in both the hotel rooms here and the fan bungalow(which weirdly had air con) and both were ideal for their prices. The hotel rooms are tastefully decorated with a large flat screen tv and a power shower for the more expensive price a the bungalows were smaller and dark but still cool and almost bug free. The hammocks...
