I have used the title “WOW” before for another resort, but cannot think of a better way to describe my first (and lasting) impressions of this one. Reception on arrival was very friendly, along with a complimentary, very refreshing and tasty cocktail. Following the giving of a significant (and pertinent) amount of information, was taken to my room. Here the...

Staff extremely helpful and polite. They arranged an evening tuk tuk tour for us, which was great. The hotel has lovely quaint rooms and good facilities. Breakfast was good. Wonderful pool! The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that one of our two rooms had an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Otherwise, excellent!

Stayed there for 3 nights in their only suite room for the Loy Kratong festival. The people working are nice and helpful but the infrastructure is on the way down. The bath tub could not be operated properly. The water was over flowing in the shower. Some hooks were hanging upside down (not easy to hang something on them). The...

Unfo, only 1 night spent here during our stopover in Sukhothai it's been the only pity... Staff very professional & helpful. Rooms' quality very high: perfectly clean, a lot of comfort, spacious, finishing design is very refined, with a very nice view over the tropical plants just outside our window. The restaurant can offer a lot of lovely dishes everyday,...

We had a very pleasant three-day stay at the Tharaburi Resort. The staff were always most friendly and tried their best to please. The resort itself is very pleasant, with many nice design features which are in keeping with Sukhothai Muang Kaw (old town). The resort is located a little way from the centre of the old town, meaning it...

I have spotted a plaque in the lobby: Winner of Best Boutique Hotel 2011. We loved: courteous and helpful staff easy check in, sitting down, welcoming drink (lovely), ample and safe parking We have stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking a "klong" (well all you travelers should know by now, what it is....) room furnished in a...

Very nice decoration, service is great, good breakfast but too many broken things: swimming pool was not accessible the first day, jaccuzi was not working in our room and during an heavy rain, it was raining inside! On top of that, there are a lot of mosquito ans noisy frogs. I definitely do not recommend this hotel and I was...

Garden setting, beautifully furnished rooms, good restaurant, helpful staff, and well-located for visiting the historical park. We don't bike, but found walking fine--1 km to the park, mainly along a shop- and wat-lined main street, and inside the park, which offers some shade. Or rent a tuk tuk for 200 B/hour. There is no reason to stay in "New Sukothai"--with...

I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel except I didn't get very excited about it. It has all the amenities you would expect at the price. The rooms are individualized and most open on to a type of man made brook. On the plus side they give you free snacks in the room and even a free...

The place seems a little older and could do with some upgrading. The staff are very friendly and the food at the resort is delicious. The location just outside the historic center could not be better and the bikes, which can be rented at the hotel offer perfect teansportation to the historic sites.
