The trip in the desert was very nice, the guide was funy and has a lot of story to tell. The facilities of the camp are surprisengly good for a desert camp, don't expect 4 stars gonditions, you are in the midle of the deseert having runing water and toilets.

Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenagers) from Massachusetts visited Wadi Rum on January 4th, 2014 as part of a 8 day tour of Jordan, as well as a visit to Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Words cannot express what a wonderful experience we had during our 3-hour jeep ride and 1 hour camel ride! First of all, it was so...

I visited Wadi Rum last year for one day/one night as part of an 8 day group tour and loved it so much I returned again this year on my own while in the Middle East. While booking this visit to the desert, I was overwhelmed with the number of operators in Wadi Rum so I sent several emails and...

This was a unbelievable experience that me and my partner will never forget. I have been on many desert safaris but I can honestly say this one blew the others out the water. Our guide Salem was fantastic, great English and very open. He willingly answered any questions about the Bedouin way of life, his family, culture or any other...

I stayed at the Rum Stars Camp in early Janaury with my husband and a couple of friends. I cannot recommend this experience enough, as it was the highlight of a ten day trip to Israel and Jordan. The team at Rum Stars answered all questions promptly and reservations were a breeze. The tour of the sights around Wadi Rum...

I have booked a "1 day/1 night" tour. My note would be: excellent. Which criterias did i choose: 1) Rum Stars Camp doesn't need any pre-booking fee. U pay everything in the camp. 2) The Camp answers all ur questions about the planing of the trip and u don't have to wait much time. 3) The food was very good....

Nice camp, good food and nice guides. In winter it gets a bit too cold but they gave us a lot of blankets to stay warm. Beautiful surroundings and amazing to see so many stars at night. We liked the tea a lot!

We booked the One Day/One Night Combination Jeep Tour with Rum Stars Camp and we loved it! We had a very full and adventurous day with good guides/jeepdrivers. Their English was more than adequate. This is important because we met an American girl who came to our guide for information because het driver didn't speak any English. The lunchbox was...

We were a party of 6 and had the most perfect time at Rum Stars Camp. Magical connection with the Bedouins who will bend over backwards to make your stay as perfect as can be. Our all-day jeep trek in Wadi Rum with Ahmed was very very fun. Good lunch boxed during the trek, with an open fire and warmed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
About our Guides: We assure you our guides are the best available in Wadi Rum. They are all English-speaking, very professional, and have a lifetime of experience in and around Wadi Rum, as they have been living here their entire lives. They are fun, friendly, very knowledgeable about the history and factual information about the desert, and excellent entertainers! About our Campsite: Our camp is located 10km from Rum Village, INSIDE THE WADI RUM PROTECTED AREA. Many larger or commercial camps in Wadi Rum are located OUTSIDE the protected area, however we are fortunate to have the advantage of being inside. We are fully licensed, fully accredited, and fully LOVE our desert and love sharing it with visitors. The camp can easily accommodate your guests with comfort-- we have modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, sit-down toilets, running water and electricity for lights. Our tents are furnished with rugs and beds and plush desert bedding. We have made sure that the camp is as comfortable, welcoming, convenient, and most of all ENJOYABLE as possible. The camp itself is beautiful: we have a large outdoor stone seating area complete with tables decorated with mosaics of desert rock, as well as a main "living room" style tent at the center of our camp where everyone gathers on cushions and carpets and padded seating to eat, drink tea, enjoy the campfire, listen to Bedouin music, and engage in lively discussion. Many guests during the warm spring and summer months opt to sleep outside of the tents under the stars, and we have a large area for this purpose as well. About the Food / Dinner: we will prepare Bedouin food for the main dish, where we will cook Zarb, a dish cooked in the earth, with some vegetables, rice, and various salads, all served in a buffet style. Lunch: we offer our guests a picnic lunchbox during the tour. Breakfast: will be an open buffet of different breakfast foods with coffee & tea. Drinks: drinking water and soft drinks will be always available in the camp and during the trip and is include the price. We will provide private tents for your group at our campsite which are prepared with beds and all sleeping equipment (pillows, blankets, bedding). All meals (Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner) + Drinking Water + Tea + Coffee are included in your tour. We will take care of everything that may you need in the desert, but suggest our visitors bring the following personal items which may make their experience here in Wadi Rum more comfortable: * Good shoes for walking, hiking, and scrambling (boots are preferable) and if possible, sandals, which are more comfortable for walking in the sand. * Headlamp/Flashlight/Torch: you will need it for the night time. * Sun cream: to protect yourself from the sun.. * Small Bag: to carry your camera and water. We don't ask for deposits (too complicated!) and are not set up to take credit cards, but would ask for payment in Jordanian Dinars when you are here. The price does not include the entrance fee to the Wadi Rum Protected Area which is 5JD per person (paid at the Wadi Rum Visitors Centre). Please note: there are no ATMs or banks in Wadi Rum. Please arrange to bring enough JD to cover all costs! We look forward to welcoming you to the Wadi Rum and sharing the life of the Bedouin with you!! ... more   less
