We drove to Fraser's Hill to see how English it is. The place was relatively quiet and we decided to have lunch at Ye Old Smokehouse, thinking it might still retain some of its British traditions. Upon entering, we met with some very friendly staff who asked us to sit on a sofa and order our drinks. We did and...

The Smokehouse is just good enough for a high tea visit and not for a night's stay or longer. It is not value for money staying at this property as it has lots of room for improvement for such exorbitant prices charged. Some of the items are malfunctioning like the water heater and even water pressure. The water pressure of...

I have the room facing the beautiful mountains which is a sight for sore eyes. They serve all-day breakfast which is very heavy that can lasts me until evening. They have a good night tea which is very pleasant as the night is very foggy and cold. The resort is setup with the Victorian era and English-style for you to...

Good: - Experiencing "a little bit" of a Victorian style house - living in the past for one night sort of feeling - Food and tea is "not bad" Bad: - Expensive (524 MYR for Victoria room/night) - Management doesn't know the difference between "old" and "dirty" (when you're charging people for a 4 star hotel price, stained, dirty toilet...

Lovely British menu which is served by knowledgable and polite staff. The roast dinners were fantastic and the breakfast was a must if you are staying here or nearby. I would definitely recommend this for both evening meal and breakfast.

My wife and I took a ground level room so that we do not need to climb the stairs. The room is pleasant, clean and comfortable beds. As expected for hilltop resorts, there is no air-con. A standing fan is provided and the night air is cool, so you don't miss the air-con. However, the fan we had was a...

The room is pleasant, no air-cond since the average weather here is around 16-18 celsius. No TV in the room but, not a big deal-we're here to "escape" from the busy world for a bit..the breakfast is also good, the waiters are very thoughtful and helpful. The dinner is taste awesome, feels like home.. Just that the reception is not...

Our honeymoon suite so nice and comfortable. We enjoy spending time together with great surrounding. Staffs were so polite and helpful. Breakfast was good enough for us but the candle light dinner for two is too expensive and cost more than RM300. Overall my husband enjoy our stay and looking forward to come back next year.

ok, you can read the other reviews - caveat emptor to an extent - however, lets concentrate on the good first - the rooms are big, the beds very comfy and with the outside temperature, its very nice to have no aircon. We stayed in Ashley - the room easily takes the extra bed we ordered (ok, we had to...

We arrived to an underwhelming welcome - the unsmiling receptionist gestured us to wait on the terrace for a welcome drink, and when this was eventually delivered by a sombre waiter we sat around for a while until we plucked up courage to ask her for the room key. We were left to carry our own bags into the room...
