Juara Mutiara resort is located close to the beach, you just have to cross one (low traffic) road to get there. The manager was kind, and the restaurant associated with the hotel offers a wide variety of good food. The state of cleanliness of the room exceeded our worst expectations. All tiles in the bathroom had black fungus spores on...

After a very long 23 hours journey here, and 50 ringgits for the taxi ride we arrive to a less than friendly reception. Minimal verbal communication just pointing to a book to fill in and being ushered away. A member of staff showed us to our room, and whilst it has only just turned 3pm, we were told the restaurant...

How to get there- Drive or take a bus to Mersing Ferry Terminal. The depart/ arrival times to the islands and back depends on the tide so check before going to avoid a long wait!. You can book your ferry online too. It took 2 hours to reach Kampong Tekek (the centre of eastern Pulau Tioman ) where the airport...

Personally felt that it's so much safer and easier to travel around malaysia islands or inlands with people who can speak bahasa malayu. Almost none of them whom i have pass by at tioman could speak fluent english and that is when i feel lost when communication...

The beach is beautiful. When we were here, there were petrol in the sea and beach, swimming or walking in bear foot is not recommended. Chalet is not well maintained, hence not clean. I would suggest bringing your own bedsheet, cover, towel, and everything essential for your daily survival. There is one restaurant. Fresh grilled fish is delicious! They sell...

So in the start i wasn't quite impressed by Juara Village, but after spending 24 hours, i fell in love with the palce. The resort was quite comfortable and totally worth the amount we paid. Also, the beach was hardly 50 meters away - Great for sunrise view. There was a Mom and Pop shop right outside our room and...

we stay here long term, and was wonderful. The ride from the ferry is bit costly, as the trip to town and return. It's quiet auster if you are vegetarian, not so much to choose, and prices here are high. There is a small market with few items. The water is cristal clear, beach quiet, nice mood, perfect for long...
