We stayed at the family of murino and had such a great time with them. Murino and his wife and daughter "shasha" are so kind and heartwarming people. The food is awesome and the bedroom clean and tidy. Ask for a mosquito net, marino will get one for the bed. Despite the weather (2 days of rain) we saw a...

Our stay in Bilit was definitely a highlight in our Malaysian holiday. My mother and I stayed with Masruna and Rosman for 3 days. Masruna's family was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we were fed and happy. I must give a huge shout out to our wonderful guide Leam who took us on river...

We stayed in the homestay program in July 2015. Everything was arranged perfectly, from our pick up in Sepilok untill the drop off. You stay in a house in the village. There are 12 families participating and every family in turn welcomes guests. The accomodation was clean. You sleep on a matress on the floor, the shower is a barrel...

We recently spent two nightsat a homestay in Bilit and would highly recommend it, it was one of our trip highlights!!!! The accommodation is what you would expect but the real reason you will have such a good time is that the people are so warm and genuine. Because we had our own guide and boat we could do changes...

We chose to stay with Marino and Halima and could not have been happier with our stay at their welcoming home on the river Kinabatangan. They both took great care of us and really were keen to make sure we had a good time. Halima cooked lovely food and served tea throughout the day, making us feel right at home....

We chose to stay in a homestay to experience something different from staying at hostels. And this is what we definitely got! We spent 4 days / 3 nights with Ding and his family. They were absolutely lovely! Everyone made an effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Food was great (fresh doughnuts for breakfast!) and plenty. You should...

My boyfriend and I visited Bilit Village for two nights on the 31st of august until the 2th of september 2015. We had a great time! The village is placed right next to the Kinabatang river and has jungle and trekking traces placed right in the backyard. We went on three boat cruises, one early in the morning and two...

We wanted to stay with a local family more a more unique and true experience. The overall experience was really nice, friendly family and great guide. Food prepared by the grand mother and the mother was very tasty. Be prepared for very basic amenities, simple matress on the floor, and no real bathroom, just a bucket in the toilet as...
