The room was good and suited to the environment, was really surprised that the showers delivered lovely hot water all done in an eco way. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was fine, there was beer and it was chilled. Our guide Jame was excellent as were the boatmen, a lovely stay.

The chef is fantastic. He catered to my allergies and made sure I didn't go hungry. The staff are wonderful too. The tour down the river provided us with up close encounters with monkeys, orangutans, snakes and birds. We spotted an orangutan with a baby!

Met at the Airport by one of the Guides called Glenn who spoke perfect English, thank goodness. Then a two hour journey along an unmade Highway to the river. This was not attractive or comfortable but they do need a properly built road and later travellers will benefit from this. The compound was attractive and the cabins surprisingly spacious and...

We booked our tour through Borneo Eco Tours for a 4 day, 3 night tour. The whole experience was absolutely amazing, except we could only book two nights at Sakau Rainforest Lodge and the last night at Borneo Nature Lodge. When we arrived at the lodge there was absolutely no atmosphere, a closed bar and very basic facilities. The other...

We booked Borneo Natures Lodge through a Travel Agent in Sandakan so we might have paid above the odds but, it was expensive. Nevertheless, we drove the 3 hours from Sandakan and our host was waiting at the river crossing to ferry us and our case across the river to the Lodge. Again, we were met, and served drinks and...

This was a great place! They had our guide pick us up at the airport and travel with us throughout the trip (on all tours and on our drive home as well). I thought that was really nice and made us feel very comfortable! The meals are excellent...I especially loved all of the delicious soups! If I were to go...

Very accommodating staff, from the time we reached the boat ramp/pick up point through until we returned to the boat ramp/drop off point. The nicely appointed rooms with hot shower, the dining room with very good food, and the boats, all combined to make our stay enjoyable. The boat trips(3),in search of wildlife were all different experiences, with the water views on the river and...

A pretty comfortable lodge on the river bank. It's hard to see most of the the wildlife in Borneo because it is unfortunately really threatened by the drastic loss of habitat everywhere but here on the Kinabatangan river a lot of it is squeezed into the relatively narrow strip of jungle either side of the river. We saw everything we...

Such a warm welcome from all staff. The lodge was in a lovely spot and the trips along the river were absolutely amazing! Our guide Kurt was so knowledgeable and helpful. We saw a wide range of flora and fauna. So many birds. The monkeys were fascinating. We even saw an orangutan in the wild. Would recommend to everyone. Thank...

Don't expect a 4 star hotel. Do expect clean, friendly, secure wonderful place that will let you see amazing things while you stay there. The food was excellent and a cold beer always available to quench your thirst.
