Right on the river, very close to the interesting little streams the boats go up to find animals. And with a good trail out of the back for bird watching. The only downside is the presence of elephants, which mean that you really have to be careful walking in the forest. The accomodation was better than we expected, reading the...

Located right on the bank of the Kinabatong river Borneo Nature Lodge provides a comfortable night stay in the middle of a rainforest. Its ecologically friendly using solar power and electricity combined. The resturant provides a meal fit for a king in the middle of know where!which is no mean feat! With longtailed macaques swinging from trees right above your...

This Lodge is right on the river and accessible only by boat. Taking that into consideration what they do is marvellous. The chalets are clean and spacious and the beds comfortable but firm. The food is acceptable and is served buffet style. My wife and I stayed there for two nights which was long enough. It was a chore to...

The Lodge is nestled in the forest amidst the wild jungle and it is a delightful experience to live with the smells, sights and sounds of the animals is a real treat. The staff are very attentive and work hard to ensure your stay is optimal. The wildlife is extraordinary and due to the variety of animals, everyone has a...

I spent 3 days here and it was unbelievable. Accommodation better than expected , food very good but best of all the friendly staff and amazing wildlife. On our first day saw a mother and her baby orangutan at the lodge who had come to enjoy the fruit trees, then arrive the macaques. Went on a jungle walk and trekked...

The Kinabatangan River has many lodges, but when we travel there we thought about a cozy and not crowded accommodation value for money. Bingo, at Borneo Nature Lodge we have found what we were looking for. Very nice location facing the river, very cozy chalets, spacious rooms and excellent food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with guests. The...

We stayed at the Borneo Nature Lodge two weeks ago for two nights and it was wonderful. We had three boat cruises with Ken who was great -- really knowledgable, informative, and funny. We were incredibly lucky. In addition to extraordinary birds, we also were able to see pygmy elephants, several species of monkeys, crocodiles, and boars. Our cabin was...

We stayed here for 2 nights and on the first night we were lying in bed only to be roused by the very distinctive sounds of elephants close by. The lodge has an electric fence around it's perimeter and I soon found out why. A herd was making their way to the river. We were within metres of them and...

The accommodation is basic, but comfortable, the room Aircon is welcome, but can't be turned off as it also heats your hot water. The staff are fantastic, friendly and accommodating. On our first afternoon evening we shared the lodge with 2 other couples which was really pleasant, the lodge doesn't have any guides of its own, though I understand they...

Basic accommodation that does what it says on the tin. Perfectly adequate but perhaps not so good if you are a fussy eater as food was OK but a little hit and miss. Staff were delightful: very friendly and helpful. Good base for the river safaris, and you can't get do better than seeing 20-odd pygmy elephants and two female...
