Lankayan island is the most beautiful place I have ever encountered, never mind in South East Asia. It is a true gem in Sabah, and was the highlight of my entire 3 week trip to Malaysia. The service is great, and yet I still got the impression that we were completely alone on the island to do whatever we pleased,...

The reef right of the jetty is the best. Great variety of fish & coral. Simply amazing. We only snorkelled and saw heaps so didn't bother diving even though we're qualified divers. Just a word of warning however, they warn you of jelly fish in the water. But not the larvae -which can cause as much irritation if you are...

Chalet No 3. A lovely place to relax after a long work. Definitely a great place to rest your mind and dive. One thing I like the most is, I make friends with traveler, they are cute and friendly and we had a great talk before bed, one of the enjoyable and memorable moment. Oh yes, new restaurant had just...

I visited Lankayan earlier this year with my boyfriend, we both loved this place! It is a bit expensive but totally worth it, specially if you like diving. Access is by boat, a bit bumpy, but again, worth it. The island features clear blue water, it is totally private and quite, perfect for couples and small families. The diving packages...

We were retrieved from our hotel well in time and were brought to the jetty. Because of the sea conditions the ride from the jetty to the island was not 1.5 hour, but 2.5 hour and pretty bumpy to say the least. Make sure you take your seasickness pills. When we arrived everything was well organized and when we entered...

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our amazing honeymoon in Sabah. It was a perfect ending to a memorable trip. From an accommodation perpsective our chalet was immaculate. We had a very comfortable four poster bed in an open plan chalet which was cleaned and serviced every day. The fridge was stocked with bottled water each...

We spent 3 nights on Lankayan over new year as part of a family reunion holiday. Our group was mixed, with a few divers and several non-divers, including 4 children between 5 and 7 years old. As we have lived in Borneo for the past 6 years, we have had a chance to sample several other resorts, and have dived...

Yes, this trip was very expensive, but we'd do it again in a hearbeat. This is simply one of the best things I've ever done in my life. The tour company picked us up from our hotel and took us down to the yacht club to catch the boat. We had a nice 90-minute ride out to the island which...

My boyfriend and I have just returned from 3 nights on Lankayan Island and it was definitely the highlight of our holiday in Borneo. The boat ride over to the island was very bumpy and did not leave either of us feeling our best, but as soon as we arrived we could see it was well worth the journey! Neither...
