We used the desert tour service from this hotel, where we jumped in a 4x4 and were driven to the middle of some sand dunes and camped there for one night. The 4x4 journey was rather tame and felt more like driving at a medium speed over some speed bumps. Was expecting a real 4x4 experience and when I told... More

Hotel is next to the sand dunes and if you would like a camel ride, near the compound. Nice size swimming pool with sitting area around. The water was very cloudy so could not see the bottom. Dinner menu is very basic and has to be pre-ordered. Breakfast is a lot better While at the hotel, unusual weather caused the... More

We stayed here for only one night - and experienced a hailstorm in the Sahara. Luckily for us the rooms were not too bad, so we could sit out the storm in reasonable comfort. The unlucky part was that due to the storm a large party of noisy Brazilian adolescents (who were due to stay in a desert camp) descended... More

The location is perfect, a short stroll to the big dunes. The hotel itself is Kasbah style, traditionally decorated, well-maintained and comfortable. We found plenty of places in which to relax, outside and inside, beautiful garden with swaying palms, olive trees and exotic plants. The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and clean – with a great shower. Wifi... More

To start with we didn't stay here overnight. We were only here to shower and change clothes while waiting for our overnight camel trip to commence. We didn't feel we had the most personable greeting when we first arrived (smiling faces, etc) while we waited for our camp host to arrive. The room we were shown to change in was... More

Great disappointment this year after considering this place as my home for the past 21 years were we have never missed a reservation, well this year we had some mechanic problems and missed arriving on the date but a day later and I had to pay for the rooms even though we did not use them, pity how people change... I have stayed here almost every year since 2002 and always have a relaxing time. Good hosts, Hassan and Ali, good accommodation, good food and a sparkling pool. Take time to talk with the locals and you'll find they're just the same as you. For those of you who haven't been to Merzouga for a while, there is now a... More

My second visit to Morocco and this time we wanted to spend more time in the the desert near to Merzouga. As two large groups of approx. 30 people, we spent one night in the desert in the hotel facilities. 6 people had their monies stolen from thei backpacks when we went out for the sunrise early in the morning. I was completely disappointed and saddened to learn of the allegation that members of your tour group had money stolen from them whilst staying at our desert camp. When this allegation was brought to my attention, several hours after your departure from us, I did everything within my power to assist and support a thorough police investigation. It must be...
