Through Adil Maliki of Marrakech Desert Travel, I booked a Sahara Desert night experience at the Sahara Desert Luxury Camp near Merzouga. And what a wonderful experience that was. The ride through the mountain ranges, the deserts, and the many other amazingly beautiful sites were astounding. A comfortable car and a safe driver were allocated to me by Adil. The staff at the camp were friendly and welcoming, and the camp accommodation (tents) was spacious, quiet, comfortable, and luxurious. Sunset, full moon, and an amazingly star-studded sky, a tasty Lam Tagine for dinner, sitting around a Berber camp fire and listening to Berber drums and songs, as well as an appetising breakfast, made this visit an impressive and memorable one. Adil Maliki from Marrakech Desert Travel organised everything from start to end, the driver, transport, and accommodation. All was taken care of in a professional manner. During the entire tour, Adil kept in contact with Ali, who was the driver allocated to me, as well as inquiring about the wellbeing of myself, ensuring there were no problems. If you are looking for a well organized, seamless, safe, and secure travel experience in Morocco, I can certainly recommend Adil Maliki of Marrakech Desert Travel, who is and performed as a good professional operator.

We had a wonderful stay at this camp in the middle of the Sahara dessert. This accommodation was part of our first trip to Morocco; and it exceeded our expectations for a tent lodging. Each tent sits isolated with its own pathway to the entrance of the tent, equipped with a separated, full shower bathroom and plumbing inside the room. In front of each tent is a quaint sitting area with a dedicated hanging low lighted lamp. It is the perfect spot to enjoy stars gazing while having a cup of Moroccan mint tea. The tent is beautifully decorated with a chandelier dropped down in the middle of the room and individual bedside lamps. Overall, the tent is immaculate and more well-kept than many of the hotel accommodations I have visited. For people who are particular about their travel accommodations, I highly recommend this luxury camp if you are seeking serenity in the desert but still want to maintain your comfort.

I stayed at the Sahara Desert Luxury Camp during a trip to discover southern Morocco. The experience was truly wonderful and unforgettable. In addition to the attention to detail, the comfort of the tent (which felt like a hotel room!) and the delicious food, I really appreciated the welcome and helpfulness of the staff on site.
Another thing that contributed to making the stay in this place unique was the gathering around the fire after dinner: among the dunes, under the starry sky we listened and participated in songs and dances during a performance by the camp kids.
Super Recommended! I can not wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed at this desert camp and it was truly an experience of a lifetime. We spent quite a bit of time considering how many nights to stay, reading that many people only stayed one night, but that quite a few recommended 2-3 nights. We knew that this was going to be a highlight of our trip, so we opted for 3 nights. We were so happy with this choice and would recommend at least 2 nights if not 3 if you have the time. The trip started with meeting a representative for the camp at a local Merzouga hotel, where we left our rental car. They took our luggage in an SUV to the camp, while we rode camels (90 minutes), stopping for a beautiful sunset in the dunes. The staff was beyond amazing, warm and inviting (special shout out to Brahim and Mohammed!). The camp was beautiful with spacious and cozy private tents, all with their own spacious bathrooms. The tents had everything from a few Keftans (local Moroccan dress) to quickly immerse yourself into the culture, to hot water and USB charging ports. Breakfast and dinner were included, lunch could be purchased (ask ahead) and they were all delicious traditional Moroccan fare. While at the camp, we took an exhilarating, hour-long guided ATV trek through the dunes, enjoyed a half-day SUV local tour with Brahim and used the snowboards at the camp to board down some small dunes (available for use always). The SUV tour included an incredible look into a local nomad home, where they served us tea, a stop at an old mine where the French mined the mineral used to make mascara, a visit to see local traditional music and dancing and lastly a very special stop for lunch at a local home where they have a private cafe for scheduled diners (vs eating at a standard tourist cafe). The lunch was beyond amazing and the hosts very welcoming and warm. Overall this stay could not have been more incredible. We hope you get a chance to experience this camp in the Sahara!

We have just spent 2 amazing days and nights at Sahara desert luxury camp and we could not recommend it highly enough!!!! Obviously it’s location is second to none 👌🏽 Beautiful, Stunning, Breath taking 😍 The camp itself is fantastic!! All amenities, very spacious tents with toilet, hot water & shower. The hospitality is 100% 👌🏽 Very warm, friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The jeep transportation to the camp is brilliant. Activities can be arranged for you ( camel rides at sunset, quad bikes, buggy rides, 4x4 tours ) they’re all well priced too. Food is good. Evening entertainment around the campfire is great fun. Overall We would rate this part of our holiday 250% !!!!!!! Thankyou Idir and friends for making us feel special in your beautiful country 😃😊

The experience was nothing short of spectacular. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment.

The accommodations provided during our tour were both comfortable and authentic, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty and tranquility of the desert. The evening under the stars was magical, with a delightful local meal and traditional music that added to the ambiance.

What impressed us the most was the attention to detail and the professionalism of the entire team. Safety was clearly a top priority, and we felt well cared for throughout our journey. The tour was well-organized, with a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and cultural experiences.

This Sahara tour is a must for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the desert. It’s an experience that combines adventure, culture, and relaxation in a seamless and memorable way. We highly recommend this service to anyone seeking an unforgettable desert adventure.

My stay at the hotel in the Merzouga desert was simply amazing. The unique architecture of the place blends perfectly with the desert environment, creating an authentic experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the rooms offered comfort with a touch of luxury. The panoramic views of the desert at sunrise and sunset from the hotel were unforgettable. This hotel is definitely a gem in the middle of the amazing landscape of Merzouga.

Went there with a couple of friends. Had a really nice ride on camels into the sunset, and then a delicious 4-course menu. Later in the evening, we sat around the campfire and enjoyed some live music. The beds in which we slept were comfy. On the way back the next day (on camels, but also could be done in Jeeps) we also spoke a lot with the guide who was very knowledgeable. In general the organizers made sure we had have the best experience at a very fair price. Also a very good place to go stargazing!

We spent one night at Sahara Desert Luxury Camp and were thrilled with the service this camp provides. It is extremely clean, very well located on the edge of the dunes with good access to the sand and fantastic views. The tents were really luxurious with soft beds, a bathroom with hot and cold running water. A real 5-star experience. The food was fantastic too. The staff organised an after-dinner party for us which was just fantastic. On behalf of our group, I would like to thank Idir and the entire camp staff for their outstanding service. I highly recommend this camp to anyone looking for a desert experience.

There are rave reviews on the internet for Amazing Luxury Camp and Sahara Desert Luxury Camp, but my experience is completely different.

On the day of arrival you will be told that you also have to pay for your transport to the tented camp.... 65 euros extra per person....

The camp is located on the dunes that are completely occupied by buggies, cars and camels. The sound of buggies can be heard everywhere (even during sunset). The room is not the room on the Internet, the bed is fine and the shower is hot, but that's all, no luxury.

Dinner and breakfast are buffet style and cannot be called luxurious. Only water is available at dinner.

If you want to visit this desert, remember that commerce has the upper hand and money is more important than Moroccan hospitality that you find elsewhere.
