We stayed here for a night before and after going into the dessert. The guesthouse is small and homely with only a few rooms. Youssef was one of the nicest hosts we had, he was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were served in a small courtyard - the food was cooked by Youssef and was excellent. The rooms were... More

The breakfast was one of the best in Marokko. Youssef was very friendly and super helpful. The camp, he organized, was one of the highlights of our trip - a lot of stars and galaxies to see :) The tagines you get are fantastic and Youssef does even real Italian espresso.

My girlfriend and I did a Morocco trip and we traveled from Fes to Merzouga, because we wanted to see the dessert. When we arrived early in the morning in Merzouga and we had to wait till the evening before our dessert trip would start. It was already really hot, but lucky for us Youssef was already waiting for us... More

Youssef was by far the best host we had during our two weeks in Morocco. From the moment we arrived he made us feel right at home. His house is tastefully decorated, with several different areas to sit. Our room was very nice, comfortable and clean. We had A/C in our room and the WiFi signal was good. We stayed... More

The place is a very typical building in the town of Merzouga, and inside is very clean and nicely decorated. The rooms are pretty and the beds are very comfortable. Youssef is very kind, he speaks many languages and he is happy to help with any issue you might have. He can also organise a trip by camel to the... More

A very nice and stylish authentic small scale hotel. Youssef is probably the friendliest guy in Morocco and makes you feel right at home. We spent 1 night in his hotel and 1 night in his desert camp. When we look back at 3 weeks travelling through Morocco, the stay at Chez Youssef's hotel and camp is the true highlight!... More

A highlight of my do-it-yourself tour out of Marrakech was my three day visit at Chez Youssef in Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara Desert. With a regular tour, I could not have stayed at this friendly lodge as there are only four bedrooms. I took a Supratours bus from Ouarzazate, and arrived after dark. The owner Youssef met... More

We stayed with Youssef for one night at his beautiful homely B&B and then spent the second night at his camp in the Saharan dunes. At the B&B we were made to feel at home from the moment we pulled up in the car. Our room, in what is essentially his family home, was spacious and extremely comfortable. His family... More

but if you want to go into the desert overnight you should give him a call before booking. We´d booked via booking.com to make sure to have room in Merzouga. Therefore other parts of Maroc are better in matching our preferences we just wanted to go into the desert for one night.. Youssef definitely is a nice guy and he... More
