Stayed in the Maderas Cabin, a brand new fresh, clean cabin with a private porch (the view was however not that good from the cabin, although very nice from the restaurant). The food was mostly good, especially the breakfast, a bit sad that the restaurang closed early (7.30) since it's a little walk to next place. That made it not so...

We stayed for 3 nights. The hibiscus room was ok but overpriced even at 40 dollars. Room was not cleaned. No wonder with the unfriendly houskeeper. We did not feel welcome at all. He was snappy and unfriendly. He was hanging in hammocks of the unoccupied room next to us most of the day and was observing us instead of...

El Encanto was a beautiful hotel. It was set back away from the road so it was very secluded and quiet. The view for meals was incredible! They have such a beautiful garden and outdoor area. The hotel offers a wide variety of breakfast and dinner options and we enjoyed all that we ate there. The staff are extremely helpful...

We had high hopes staying here but quite disappointed. Room were fine, and they do have a pretty view but the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the internet is not working more than it is, the food is virtually inedible but the worst part is the attitude of the owner who seems like he couldn't care less. We...

If you stay at this place for more than 3 days you can probably get a good deal if you ask. I came in rainy season I had the whole dorm 8 beds all to myself. The staff is fantastic super nice ladies funny and elegant. I lost my key and they didn't even fuss about it just gave me...

We were lucky. Being the only ones at El Encanto during rainy season and choosing a cabin, we got the "best" cabin of the bunch, meaning the one that was smack-dab in the center and closest to Volcan Maderas (albeit by only a few feet). From our window it appeared as if we were the only inhabits on site! The...

El Encanto is a charming hotel with incredible views of the volcano. Carlos' garden is a butterfly paradise. The staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in the cabin with A/C as the standard rooms were full. A little pricey at $65, but completely worth it. Just a short walk downhill to the beach.

This is a beautiful quiet get-a-way on Ometepe Island. Carlos and his staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful in planning your days and provide a bed & breakfast type atmosphere. Simple yet clean rooms, and has a family room that sleeps six! The food is amazing and an extra treat especially if you've been in Nicaragua for any length...

I loved this accommodation! The owner is awesome, the accommodation is clean and comfortable. The restaurant is fabulous and oh the views. The grounds are also incredible with its own botanical gardens. The owner was so helpful organising walks up the active volcano and helping us get to other accommodation because he was fully booked. I would totally recommend this...
