We went on a 3 hour kayak tour with Johnathan. He spoke great English, was very polite, calm and knowledgeable. He was accommodating and able to answer questions on flora and fauna, and Nicaragua in general. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!

My husband and I stayed three nights in a cabin and had a nice time. The accommodations are rustic but clean. The food in the restaurant is good and well priced. It is a bit of a bus ride to get there if you don't have a car but it is certainly doable. All in all, it almost felt more... More

We stayed here only for 1 night and we paid $20 for a room with bunk beds and a double. It is very basic with a shared bathroom. We were missing a mozzie net on the double, but when we asked they brought us one. It is right on the beach and has a nice atmosphere right in the village.... More

Good valua for money but (all I know) the cabin is a bit overpriced. No real dissapointments. Great staff, English speaking. Great restaurant with good pricing. Wifi good. Location is fantastic right at the beach, with amazing sunset! The cabin was good, though not fantastic. The mirror was broken, soap wasnt clean and shower water did not flow away. Great... More

Amazing place, with amazing and very kind people. Very cool atmosphere and very relaxing. The food is amazing and the kayak tours. Directly on the lake, wonderful sunsets, amazing view on the volcano. I recommend it without hesitation to anyone. Prices per night are between 6 and 30 $. Kayak tours are around 20 $.

Caballitos was a rustic yet comfortable place that really fit in with its surroundings, and one of the great things about Ometepe is how authentic and undeveloped it seems. In the morning the neighbors would be doing their laundry by hand in the lake and ther were chickens, horses and pigs just hanging out around the grounds. Didn't feel like... More

I spent one night here as a result of getting temporarily stranded. I wish I would have found this place earlier during my three week stay on Ometepe. The room was just a room, but this establishment has a tranquil location right on the lake. The food is excellent, and I will always carry the memory of two beautiful girls... More
