This hotel is fine for an overnight stay. It is clean, quiet, and well located since it is not in the very midst of this highly touristic little town. The Santuario Hotel is fairly new, at least it looks that way, an easy stroll from the town center, the train Station, and the bus stop. Close enough to all the...

This hotel was a stop over before the trip up the mountain to Machu Picchu. and with the veiw you got from the window, just wow. The rooms were good for what you needed. Nice comfy bed. The service from the staff was fantastic, even we asked for directions to hot springs. This hotel is situated a little bit down...

Our Inca Trail and Machu Picchu tour booked our hostel stay in Aguas Caliente. They booked us at Santuario Hotel because their normal venue was under renovations. I wouldn't call Santuario a hotel. It's more of a hostel. It's got no frills. The pros: - Location is good for waiting on the bus line to Machu Picchu - Were able...

Very nice hotel. Comfy bed, hot water, good water pressure, western toilet. Great views of the mountain. Bar in house but when we wanted a drink no one was there working. Staff especially Roberto were great! He met us at the train station, carried our bags to the hotel. The hotel is down the hill from the main square which...

We did have to walk up to our floor, but it was fine. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom & we were able to charge our phones & cameras. Staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was served early enough to get a bus at 5am so we could hike to the Sunrise Gate, it was a good meal, great choices.

Santuario Hotel was recommended to me by Wilson (bartender at Sonesta Posada del Inca in Yucay of Sacred of Valley between Urubamba and Calca). It is a no frills place. It is comfortable and clean, and they have a portable heater to keep you warm at night and early morning. They serve a wonderful breakfast with made-to-order eggs/omelette, fresh fruits,...

Clean hotel, friendly staff, just a little walk from the town centre so very quiet. We overlooked the river which was soothing for sleeping. Only spent one night so hard to comment. Breakfast was ready at 5am so we could depart at 5.30 for the sunrise. Very nice as well.

Consider this between a 1 star American hotel The pros: They have running water (mostly cold) At breakfast they have eggs to order The keys do not become demagnetized in the door as they are keyhole keys Location is good for queuing for the bus to Machu Picchu and eating dinner The bad: Loud, extremely loud. Rooms on the river...

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room overlooked the river, it was so soothing after the long day hiking Machu Picchu to listen to the roar of the river. The beds were very comfortable and it was a short walk into town and the train. The breakfast was good, made to order omelets and strong coffee. The staff was...

My friends and I spent all morning hiking Machu and Huayna Picchu and looked for a place for dinner. Because we were so early, we could only have drinks. Roberto invited us in, offered us the happy hour prices, and made awesome cocktails! The mara cuya sour was my favorite!!!Thanks, Roberto!
