I have no idea who would give this place anything but 1 or 2 star reviews. I am traveling with a friend who likes to have reservations in advance....He panicked and insisted we book prior to arrival. What a mistake. This was by far the worst place we have stayed in almost 3 weeks in Peru. And it was $120...

Its not easy to find a quiet room in Aguas Calientes, but Muyurani is right by the river and the lovely waters drown out the street noise. I slept like a baby here. King size beds, hot water 24/7, and HEATERS in the rooms! All for a reasonable price, and close to everything. HIGHLY recommend this very nice place.

Like many others, I think this one was one of the worst ones I stayed in whilst in Peru. I would have to agree with nearly everything already said. We were first given the first room on the first floor, with the lobby couches sitting right next to it. We immediately asked for another one and was put on the...

I stayed at this hotel on May 2011 just for one night before heading to Machu Picchu. We wanted to go to sleep early (9pm) so we could get up at 4am to get the first bus to Machu Picchu. It was impossible, the hotel owners baby didn't stop crying until 12am and guest were constantly arriving to the hotel....

I saw the reviews on Trip Advisor after I had booked my stay and was a bit apprehensive but reasoned that it would not be intolerable for 1 night. I was pleasantly surprised by the staff and premises when I arrived. Good points: Clean rooms with all the basic comforts - rooms, beds, linen and bathroom were all very clean...

Hotel rooms are small and simple and unfortunately that's the most positive thing to say. Worst hotel I stayed at in Peru... Problems: -Bedsheets were very dirty with black hair, dirt, seeds like the last person got in with hiking boots. I had to ask for clean sheets. Also had a cockroach in the bed. -Both my husband and I...

I am sure there were cheap, run down hostels within the maze of streets that I could have chosen, but this one seemed nice, comfortable, quiet, safe and a splurge of an expense. My room was simple - but had a phone (you need to get the "real/correct" phone number from the staff. The phone number listed on the business...

This was probably the worst hostal we stayed at in Peru, but that said, it doesn't seem like ANY hostal in Aguas Calientes in this price range is very good. We were lucky enough to have a second floor room that looked out over the river, but we also noticed that there were other rooms that didn't have ANY windows...

In looking up hotels in Agues Caliente (Machu Picchu), we couldn't find anything that had any great reviews, but the reviews for this hostal were not awful, but we found out the few reviews were WRONG! From no toilet paper, no light in the bathroom to bug splattered walls and an unbelievably long wait time to check in, this hotel was...
