While the rooms in this hotel are very nice, and the staff is friendly and accommodating, you are either facing a raging river or a railroad track (the one that runs through the middle of the pueblo). Either side is extremely noisy. We were on the railroad track side, facing the train station, and the noise was deafening. Occasionally, we...

A hotel with a truly spectacular location just next to the roaring river. You can also ask for a room to the other side of the hotel, but this is right to the train station- so this is also rather noisy, but the last train arrives at 23, so you will get the best of a nights sleep.

We stayed at this hotel and we're very pleased with its location and the overall quality. The one concern we had was that the showers did not have consistent hot water. About 15 seconds of hot water followed by 30 seconds of cold water... :-( The staff was very helpful and the view of the river amazing. I would stay...

A clean and simple hotel perfectly suited to an overnight stay. Nothing luxurious about it except the name, a plain basic room that was well used but clean and in good condition. The raging river outside was either somnolent or irritating. For me it was indeed pleasant and a far better option that the train line at the front door...

we stayed here after finishing the Salkentay Trek, having spent a week in Cusco prior. This was hands down the nicest place we stayed and such a well deserved luxury after hiking through the mountains and jungle. It was quiet, clean and so comfortable. The rooms were well kept and totally clean, and even included some basic amenities, which we...

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The rooms are either on the side of a train track or roaring river waves. We choose a room besides the train track, a lesser evil even though it was noisy because of the intermittent noise of the passing trains. The breakfast was terrible. They cut the sausages into tiny pieces, and...

A night at this hotel was part of our package for Machu Pichu. The hotel nor its service is as good as our other Tierra Viva experience around Peru. The hotel is labeled different than its current name, so we were lost in such a small town. The room was clean and comfortable. What helps is the river view the...

...but we were very happy with this place, booked for us by our tour operator after 7 nights in a tent around Salktantay mountain. It was clean, quiet, we had a little balcony and a beautiful view of the river, and the location was great. Modern bathroom, even had a bit of a tub so I could rinse out a...

Nice hotel in Aguas Calientes. The beds are comfortable and rooms are big, However they're either in front and then you hear the trains (right across the street) or they're in the back and you hear the Rio (quite noisy actually as the windows are not sound-proof). Also, there's no heating device in the bathroom which is a bit chilly...

We enjoyed this hotel very much. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes (also called Machu Picchu Pueblo) we checked other hotels from my list and this one was perfect. Our room #204 had a river view. I found the sound of the water very relaxing. Right in the front of the hotel is the railroad. But we heard the train maybe...
