Our party of 3 stayed 2 nights here in 2 separate rooms. Both rooms had problems. Stay here if you prefer clogged toilets, light fixtures that don't work and mosquitoes. Really, go elsewhere.

My daughter and I stayed overnight at the Hotel Presidente during our two day visit to Machu Picchu. The hotel had a representative meeting passengers from the Cusco train just outside of the station gate. This is especially helpful because the scene can be a little confusing. The rooms are on the spartan side, but they were clean and comfortable....

We recently spent a night at the Presidente Hotel in Aguas Calientes, and we must say that it was a great decision to spend the night there. The next day we were able to get up early and go up to Machu Picchu for the sunrise. The hotel was just beautiful and we enjoyed a great room overlooking the Urubamba...

Staying here two nights was one of the best decisions of our three month trip to South America. Aguas Calientes is a much more quaint and fun town to be in than Cusco. The food is delicious and the pisco sours run freely! Most importantly, you are able to catch the 5:30 AM bus to Machu Picchu and see the...

We stayed one night here as part of our 2 day tek to Machu Picchu. Our room had a balcony right over the river which was really neat because the water was roaring from all the rain. We were tired after our trek so we slept just fine. The hotel includes a breakfast buffet which is very convenient because we...

First experience with this hotel was in the lobby. We approached the counter and the woman there was finishing her personal call.... she did so for about 5 minutes even though we were practically staring at her at times. We got into our room and it had a nice view of the river and the river noise served as a...

I've read the other people's reviews of the place and it sounded like most of them hated it. For a minute, I thought maybe I had the wrong name of the hotel. The key to this room is to have a river view room. We got #309 with the queen bed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I loved the...

Not wanting to blow $500 on a room for a night (although we can afford it we'd rather buy sweaters, and blankets, and chollas -- those iconic andean hats) , we walked along the street in AC until we found a clean, reasonably priced hotel. the Presidente is not the Ritz, but the rooms are clean and our triple on the...

We too stayed here with an OAT tour. This was, by far, the worst hotel we were put in. The staff really didn't communicate so I can't rate them. The dismal lobby is dark and unfriendly. The place is clean enough. Our room was pitiful; knees hit the wall when on the toilet! Thats a new one! I wish I...

We were 2 couples and we both stayed in a "premium" room on the river side of the hotel. I thought the room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was not perfect, but certainly adequate! No mold there. We had no problem with any bugs or mosquitos. I especially liked the common area patio. It was a nice...
