We were met at the train station by a young man who escorted us to the hotel. The staff were kind and helpful. The problems were with the property. The hotel had a strong odor like a chinese restaurant that permeated throughout. We were first shown to an interior room with two beds and no windows. We told the staff...

Basic hotel, but suited our needs as we only stayed one night before going to Machu Picchu at 3am the next morning. They also supplied a basic packed lunch for us as we did not have time for breakfast. Only downside no English spoken and the shower did not work properly.

Not a bad place, we stayed for 2 nights, but housekeeping didn't see to our room, but guess some hostels are like that? We stayed as part of Machu Picchu tour, so was booked for us. Good location, but as its quite small here, think a lot of places would offer a good location. Shower was pretty good, just small....

First of all the address of this place is CALLE WAKANKI #400, BARRIO LAS ORQUIDEAS - MACHUPICCHU, the other address is old and hasn't been updated anywhere. Easy to find, from the train station, stay on the same side of the river and walk up the hill to the orange bridge, don't cross the bridge, hang a right and go...

Under no circumstances would I recommend staying here. I had read that staying near the soccer field was noisy, so I booked a place away from the soccer field. That was Denny's I and they said we were staying in Denny's II which turned out to be right next to the soccer field. Needless to say, it was extremely noisy....

We stayed here the night before our Machu Picchu tour. The hotel itself was okay, older, but clean. We were given breakfast of coffee, bread with marmalade in the morning, Had a great view of the mountains from our window. Close to many restaurants and shopping and the train station. Not sure we would stay there again, but it gave...

My husband and I spent only one night at this hostel before we climbed Machu Picchu on Sunday. Keep in mind we are seniors, were rather leery of our travel agency's choice to put us up here and really did not know quite what to expect! Fortunately for us we ended up being quite pleasantly surprised, especially after we had...

Stayed there for 2 nights. The room was okay, but overpriced. Its a very loud hostel. Noise travels very well and makes it hard to sleep. Our bathroom floor was always wet too. It held a puddle constantly and it started to drain out on to our room floor. The hot water is not consistent. I had 2 cold showers...

Like the review below me..if you have any say in what hotel to stay in DO NOT CHOSE THIS PLACE!!! The noise from the clubs, guests, staff, and others is out of this world. During our 2 night stay the staff was hammering nails into the wall to hang up pictures at 10pm and in the room next to us...
