At the end of August, my wife and I completed a 2 week adventure vacation throughout South America which started in Santiago Chili, then to Easter Island, afterwards the sacred valley in Peru from Cuzco to Machu Picchu, with a well-deserved rest in Paracas for a few nights. Here is the highlight of this segment involving Machu Picchu. The Elmapi...

This hotel has all the style and trend of a luxury hotel located in the touristy town of Aguas Clientes. After 3 nights camping on the Camino Inca we rolled into this fancy and modern accommodation looking grungy and tired. The staff got us checked in and our duffles to our room quickly. The first shower we had in days...

We stayed here for one night after our group visited Machu Picchu. The hotel is very modern and vibrant and has a great feel to it. It was very comfortable and was a great place to rest after a very long and tiring (but incredible) day. Pros: super comfy beds (awesome pillows and doonas/comforters), brilliant shower, great products, environmentally responsible,...

In Peru, where a "matrimonial" bed can be narrow as a double, it was a delight to sleep in a king-size bed, in a very clean and comfortable room (with a terrific shower and excellent toiletries). We enjoyed a complimentary Pisco sour in the hotel bar as well as a very good dinner in their restaurant (which, to our surprise,...

This hotel is situated just 10 minutes walk from the train station on the main street through the town. Our room included our evening meal chosen from a set menu which was enjoyable. The bed was comfortable, the room large and the bathroom clean. A nice touch is the inspirational quotes on the walls. After a hard day climbing around...

This hotel is nice and clean with an emphasis on ecology. The service was good as was the restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Some of the rooms have beautiful mountain views and others open onto a garden area. My only regret is that I didn't request a mountain view.

My family, 4 adults, stayed one night at this hotel between visits to Machu Picchu. Check in went smoothly. I had a small problem that was dealt with efficiently. The rooms were clean with a great shower with hot water! Wifi worked in the rooms and lobby. Bar staff friendly. Restaurant food good. The only con is that the hallways...
