The highlight of this hostel were the staff- they are so friendly and helpful, even though it is a big hostel you feel like you are part of a family. The staff can advise you on all the treks, and tailor it to your wishes (whether or not you want a guide etc) and book them for you the day...

Well pointed out Hostel, right in the center of Huaraz, nice clean dorms, bathrooms and kitchen, they also have a big terrace where you can enjoy the view over the mountains from. the staff were extremely helpful, they showed us the itinerary to Santa Cruz trek and gave us tips even though we decided to do it ourselves and skip the...

The first night we stayed in a private room, of which the bed was amazing after a night bus! All private rooms are however next to the communal area (and ours was next to the mercado central) so it can be noisy. The dorms are fine, and everything is clean and well-maintained (beds are made every day). The staff is...

The guys that work at the hostel have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to doing any trekking in the area. They can set you up with any tour you're looking for. Also everyone in that hostel is doing treks and it's easy to meet people and team up. The hostel itself has some comfortable rooms, some less comfortable....

The place is perfectly located next to the central market of Huaraz, there you can buy all the food you can prepare in the spacious kitchen (just 4 cooking spots though). The staff is really kind and helpful and they provide awesome maps for hikes and the town of Huaraz! The beds were also really comfortable, good stay!

Akilpo is really close to the center, so it's got that going for it. The room (a private double room) was clean, but the water in the shower are never hot (you have to ask at the reception, then they will somehow switch the hot water on, and only then will you have a trinkle of hot water), and we...

I actually quite enjoyed Akilpo, took a bit of warming up to it. I stayed here with my sister and everything was pretty ok, The staff were lovely, but unfortunately i have to bring this up on of the guys working there, I think his name was Victor and he was incredibly inappropriate with us. I can't believe he is...

The staff is extremely helpful and kind, and have much info of the treks around. The wifi works well everywhere, the showers can be really hot and pleasant (and if it isn't make sure to just tell the staff and they immediately fix it). Comfortable location, nice common room, comfy cozy beds. I have no complaints.

We stayed at Akilpo before our Santa Cruz trek and it was the best decision we could have made. The advice that we received from Benjamin and Estoban was incredible and the camping equipment that we hired from them was brilliant quality and value. They weren't at all pushy with providing tours and genuinely wanted to ensure that we had...
