We were late arriving but they had kept the restaurant open for us which was great! The rooms were clean and full of interesting artefacts. The whole resort was wonderful - workshops, museum pieces,p and friendly staff.

Hotel Majoro is 2 Kms along a rutted dirt track and has a security gate big enough to qualify for a prison. But once inside, what an oasis! Beautiful grounds and art work. Lovely rooms ... ours even had a jacuzzi tub. Gorgeous swimming pool plus (in our opinion) the best pisco sours we had anywhere in Peru. The restaurant... More

We had a good stay at the Hotel Majoro. It is a lush retreat in the middle of the desert. Very quiet, clean, comfortable and safe. Pool didn't look to inviting to swim but it was a great place to sit and enjoy the quiet and the roaming peacocks and llama. The breakfast was basic but served early which is... More

Dear guest, thank you for staying with us. I'm glad to learn you enjoyed staying with us. I hope Dina, the alpaca did not bother you. Most probably you are confusing the aqueduct reservoir with our main swimming pool and its wet bar next to it. More

Wow! This hacienda is amazing, so much to see. Genuine Peruvian art everywhere. Rooms are so interesting, no it's not the Hilton, thankfully, no TV no mod cons in the room but all the richer for it. The grounds are luscious and so colourful, I loved watching the hummingbirds flitting about. So many areas to explore or just sit and... More

Stay in an authentic hacienda really is attractive in the sense that you get the feel for the old times. True the road leading to the gate is bumpy and dusty but then, who cares about the road? I only stayed here one night as part of a tour so didn't really get to appreciate the entire grounds, only came... More

This is an old manor house with accommodation in various old buildings in the grounds. They boast that no room is the same, and I can believe it. The compound is gated and very actively guarded. It is found down about a mile of rough sandy track, and has a pleasant bar, restaurant with antique covered walls , and a modern... More

Dear guest, thank you for your comments. I'm glad to learn you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, we dont have ultra modern amenities, our idea is to transport you in time, to the spirit of a XIX century cotton hacienda. Dear Guest, thank you for your comments. I'm happy to learn you enjoyed your stay with us. We were treated so well by the staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. This was part of a Nazca Lines Tour and quite a surprise both in quality and comfort. An added benefit, in the morning, we were treated to the gardening staff: a herd of Llamas and Alpacas right in front of our room.

My stay here recently was in a word, amazing. Never could I have imagined what was behind the gates as I drove from the bus station. Dear Guest, thank you for all your comments. I'm so happy to learn that you agree with our philosophy, of just offering our guest peace and calmness after having such a long trip. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Hacienda Majoro, a single floor hotel, was built in the 19th Century as an Augustine convent. In the early 20s it became a Pima cotton hacienda and its land was expropiated in 1968 with the Agrarian Reform. The previous owners converted the old hacienda building into a hotel in 1980. The present owner bought it in 2004 including 60 acres of land where tara trees (caesalpinea spinoza), cactus and grapes are grown.
