Although this Hotel looks very Grand and promising at first sight we felt that it lacked a lot of loving care. I know that it is an original old Hacienda but it does need some money spending on it. The room was very basic with no TV and a fridge that did not work, curtains that were 'ill fitting' and...

Dear guest, thank you fpr your comments. We publish that we offer NO TV's in the rooms, it goes against our philosophy. If you have travelled all this way, instead, we offer you culture, the planetarium and our pisco cellar. You should have adviced reception that the fridge was not working correctly. All the locks have a push button inside...

Nasca continues to attract tourists in search of the famous and mysterious Nasca lines. However, other than a few ruins, the Antonini Museum and a 35min rocky flight over the Nasca lines there is not much to see or do here. A monastery in the 18th century, turned hacienda in the 20th and hotel in the 80’s, this hotel is...

Dear Guest, thank you for your comments. I'm sorry to learn you missed all the other attractions that Nasca offers. There is the San Fernando Reserve at the coast, 70 kms away from Nasca, where you may see all kinds of birds including condors and penguins, plus sea lions, etc., there is also the Pampa Galera's Reserve, the largest reserve...

We arrived at hotel majoro down a dusty and slightly dodgy looking track... once through the gates of the hotel there is a "country house / hacienda" feel to the place. The swimming pool was fine and usable but the area around the pool could do with a tidy - just leaves etc. The rooms were on the ground floor...

Dear guest, thank you for your comments. As you know, we are in the dessert, and many days there is a lot of wind, and having a very large garden with flowers and trees, it is most probable that you will find leaves or bouganvilla flowers scattered in some areas. The decor belongs to an old classic Peruvian Hacienda, and...

I spent Easter at the Majoro Hotel and despite the high temperatures, I enjoyed my stay. The staff is very kind and respectfull, the landscape of the hotel is amazing and all the atmosphere is in general very relaxing. The Nazca huacos and pre-Inka culture textiles are all original so it is like being at a museum! The planetarium is...

Dear guest, thank you for your valuable comments. I'm delighted to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you apreciate the art displayed at the hotel. As from April, the temperature should go down up to 25°C during the day and 17° in the evenings.

The hotel is located outside the city of Nasca. It's a farm as well. Is has a beautiful garden and a nice pool with a bar. The rooms are comfy but don't expect a tv or airco. But we didn't miss these in such a nice place.

I chose the hotel Majoro for themselves and their friends, because I wanted to live in style and we liked the idea of the old colonial hacienda. Our vision is perfectly realized. The Hotel is very nice and evokes the atmosphere of the old colonial times. A collection of ancient Indian artifacts, which can be viewed in the reading room...

Hotel Majoro is located on the peaceful outskirts of Nazca, about a ten minute drive from the airport offering flights over the Nazca lines. It is a converted textile factory so the property is quite large and offers some interesting history. The entire hotel is an extended hacienda-style bungalow. Certainly the buildings are lovely from the outside and the main...

Dear Guest, thank you for your valuable comments. It makes me very happy to know you enjoyed the Peruvian art that is shown at Majoro. WIFI is very limited due to the fact that we are located in an area where satelite is not that good, and all lines are transmited by antenas. I'm sorry to learn that the peacocks...

The contact info on the webpage is wrong. We called for reservations and were charged more than the prices given on the phone. The rooms are definetly a 1-2 star type room not 4 stars. There are a lot of cats and peacoks that make noise at night and wont let you sleep. Beware!

We needed a night or two away from all the tourist hassles and what a perfect solution this was - a few kilometers from the city center, this is a massive, 80-room, old style ranch / hacienda in a beautiful setting. This hotel is huge a being a former Hacienda. The setting, the architechture and the pools are just great. You feel like being in the older times. The rooms are not 4 star level, but you forgive this being in such an imposant building.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Hacienda Majoro, a single floor hotel, was built in the 19th Century as an Augustine convent. In the early 20s it became a Pima cotton hacienda and its land was expropiated in 1968 with the Agrarian Reform. The previous owners converted the old hacienda building into a hotel in 1980. The present owner bought it in 2004 including 60 acres of land where tara trees (caesalpinea spinoza), cactus and grapes are grown.
