Very quiet locality. Beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms
Excellent breakfast included in the rate we paid via Booking.com
Staff very attentive and polite
Evening meals available which we did not sample as we had other plans. Judging by the breakfast I am sure the quality of the evening meal would have been just as good
Nice pool area which is very clean although sadly the pool attracts a lot of mosquitoes to the dining area

We stayed as a family of four in January, and stayed in a family room, which was large, clean and calm even though it was at the front of the property.
The pool is lovely and cool. It is a small hotel, so do not expect large hotel five star service, instead expect a personalised service by people who treat you as an adult. Staff will assist and be helpful when asked, but they generally assume you have everything in hand. The manager was fantastic, and assisted us with organising a driver and safari—both were excellent. We also received a farewell gift, which was very kind and the kids love it (on display now in their bedroom!).

Food takes some time to prepare, so order then have a swim or something, or preorder for a specific time.

We had a great stay here for our two days in Anuradhapura. The staff were very friendly and very thoughtful in their service - they sent a tuk tuk to pick us up from the train station, and even sent other tuk tuks to other nearby stations when our train was delayed, as when we didn't show up they were concerned we had got off at the wrong stop. They arranged bikes and tuk tuks for us to the temples and Mihintale.
As the hotel only has 8 rooms it is lovely and quiet.
We had no issues getting hold of staff; there is a bell you can ring if you cannot see someone and someone will come straight away, however we never really had any issue as the staff are on site in their staff room near the pool at all time. There is no alcohol licence but you are free to bring your own drink in to have at dinner/in your room, and they kindly went to buy some beer for us from the local shop when we forgot.
Definitely recommend to stay here if you are in Anuradhapura.

Great Experience overall!
The hotel was perfect, nice little place clean calm and great authentic sri lankan and western food. The team there was really helpful and they help us prepare the poojawa in the morning and allowed to use the kitchen as well which was by the way super clean and organized. I have attached a pic of the poojawa we prepared with the help of the chef who is great. Thanks for the nice experience with added touch of home feeling.

Lovely boutique hotel, I was upgraded to a deluxe suite which was delightful. Tastefully decorated and clean. The room was a bit noisey as road side but this calmed down later in the evening. Breakfast was nice, I had poached eggs with fruit. No selection of teasother than black, but hot water was provided so I could use my own herbal ones. Staff where warm and friendly. Thank you for your hospitality.

This is a small hotel which is convenient for visiting the wonderful Dagobas and historic ruins in Anuradhapura.

Pros:
The owner and staff are delightful and very helpful and attentive
The pool courtyard is pretty with lovely plants.
Our superior room on the ground floor was clean with a nice bathroom.
Wi-Fi was available.

Cons:
Our room was charmless, more like a basic travel lodge than a boutique hotel and a huge contrast compared with the sublime hotel which we had just stayed in.
The toiletries were of very low quality and very limited.

We tried to lie by the pool but were attacked by numerous mosquitoes despite using insect spray etc. Similarly, we were attacked by mosquitoes at breakfast and supper.

The food was mediocre, the coffee poor (again a marked contrast compared with our previous boutique hotel which was barely more expensive but was of superlative quality with a wow factor). There was no liquor license although I do not consider this to be a problem and our waiter offered to buy beer from the local shop.

Despite the charming hosts, this hotel lacks the wow factor that so many other hotels in Sri Lanka provide. I think the pricing is too high and I would not recommend it in its current form.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the manager. It is important to mention that, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to us. All respect for the manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

The staff is very helpful and the hotel is very clean. I would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone who wishes to visit the sacred city of Anuradhapura.

We really liked the Aryana. We stayed there 3 nights as we explored the sites of a Anuradhapura. Its a small boutique place, with comfortable rooms, around a pool, which was great to come back to cool off in. Breakfast was good, we had a lunch there with a delicious curry selection. Most of all the staff was really helpful and thoughtful, helped us out with organizing our visit. We definitely recommend!

If you’re like me and prefer some comfort and good food whilst travelling around Sri Lanka, then this small luxury boutique hotel does not disappoint and it’s very reasonably priced.
I thought I knew Sri lanka quite well and have visited many places and have been fortunate enough to stay in some amazing hotels. However I had only visited Anuradhapura on one previous occasion and what they used to call Rest Houses were as they say quite basic - so it was a welcome surprise to find this pretty little gem in the town, thanks to Tripadviser.
Close to all the ancient sites and temples.
I would certainly recommend that you stay for dinner as the food was really good and the breakfast had plenty of choices to start the day .
They don’t have driver accommodation but they helpfully suggested somewhere for him to stay and that was fine

Me and my wife booked this hotel for 2 nights on half board basis. Our reservation was taken very professionally and we requested for early check-in as we arrived by train. Manger Nilusha has arranged trishow on our request to pick up from station. We were warmly welcome by manger and team on arrival. We were given room as early check-in. Hotel is very well maintained and clean. Deluxe room is very spacious and well updated with all amenities. Food was great and very tasty. With all the economy difficulties in the country they haven't comprise the standard and quality of the food what they served. Lunch Rice and curry had 9 dishes. Staffs are very polite and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel for good quality service.
