Detailed Reviews
It was a warm introduction for my first night in Sri Lanka. I arrived here straight from the airport on 15 December 2016 and stayed for 1 night. My hosts helped with the transfer from the airport and also with a visit to Mihintale in the evening of my arrival. The hotel is nice, clean, newly opened. The food is good and the host - Manoj is ready to help with any needs you may have. The location of the place is next to the Anuradhapura complex - for which they arranged a tuk-tuk to take me around. Very reliable hosts. Strongly recommend!

We stayed one night to explore Anuradhapura Ancient site. This is a 3-storey bungalow converted into a hotel resort. Stylish and tasteful design with lots of open space, high ceiling and good ventilation. It is more like Bed & Breakfast Place to us, clean, spacious and high ceiling room. We were given free upgrade to bigger family room. Free hotel transfer from Anuradhapura Railway Station. Best part about this hotel is the hospitality by the host, Mr Manoj, who welcomed us with fresh papaya juice. He also cooked and prepared dinner and breakfast for us upon request since the place does not have any eateries around. His cooking was palatable and food is reasonably priced. Hotel also provide driver service and tour service since transportation is not quite convenient. We didn’t use the service since we already have our driver service to get around. It would be perfect if there is a bigger garden area to enjoy the nature and green in the surroundings. There are many wild monkeys in the surrounding which makes the stay interesting for nature lovers. We are very happy with the stay and highly recommended for the excellent hospitality by the host, Mr Manoj.

It was during covid season we were happened to visit anuradhapura and to stay one night, i carefully selected this place, after reviewing so many major and minor places in Anuradhapura.
This has following features,
1. Very close to the railway station (700 m)
2. Very close to the sacred places (1.5 km if u walk and if u take a tuk it will be 150 rupees
3.Its a modern place, with modern amenities
4. The owner is really kind, helpful and attentive
5. This place is really good for your pocket as it is relatively cheap.
6. They will prepare u the food that u want. Even a tea or juice if u dont want to prepare in ur room.
All in all its the best place that fits us.
However following facts to consider,
1. It is not a big banquet hotel with many rooms, gardern pool and a pub
2. Upper floor bath rooms water pressure is just a little low and hope the ower will attend soon to fix it. (It is not a big issuee tough)
3. I'd recommond to display a name board for the hotel as people in the town hardly heard the name of the hotel.
Would like to wish all the very best to the hotel and certainly recommend

We spent 3 nights at Amuththa Resort this September and our experience was really good.If you are travelling with your family and looking for a place which is clean, safe and in close proximity to "Pooja Nagaraya" and the town, Amuththa is the place.
From the moment we arrived there ,we felt at home. It was very peaceful and safe. The room was very clean and so was the bed linen. The washroom was very clean and looked new.
The staff is very courteous and friendly. The Owner Mr. Manoj and his wife attend to your requirements promptly,if any. They provide you meals on request (one course meal). The food was very delicious and served hot, hot. They were very kind and flexible with regard to the timing of the meals as some days we returned past 10p.m. Overall our experience at Amuththa was very pleasant. We'll definitely choose Amuththa when we visit Anuradhapura again.

The place is real close by to the pilgrimage sites (about 1 km) therefore, its convenient. The rooms and place is cozy and comfortable. It's built with great interior and architectural design. I'm rating them down for their poor way of serving food. The food was served in a stingy way, watching us eating and quickly collecting our plates as if to save their food was found to be uncourteous and ungenerous.

This place provided us comfort, and relaxation wrapped up with a blanket of value for our money. The whole premise was clean and very orderly. They even arranged us dinner and morning tea (a very yummy morning tea to wake up to). The location is very close to the town as well as the sacred places which is super convenient. Amazing place to stay if you are heading towards Anuradhapura.
The host is amazing and very helpful too.

Had Such a wonderful experience. Not so far from the railway station. And also about 5 min drive to the ruwanwelisaeya. Calm environment and very friendly owners. Very reasonable price and good ac and specious rooms. More of a home environment rather than a hotel stay. Mr manoj the owner will personally attend your needs. If you are looking for a home like environment. This is the place.

Great welcome from the hotel and I would rate food 10/10. I will definitely stay if I travel to Anuradhapura or pass by the city. Amuththa will click the best on your check list and top of all the overall experience was excellent.

we had a terrible experience at this hotel due to their poor late check in service. The staff seemed disorganized. there was no toilet paper. we had to call the front desk staff assured it would be brought up after informing them 3times. they should improve the customer service.
