Detailed Reviews
For that price, you can do better.
Location is convenient, in town.
However, Aircon smelt of pee, and the hotel corridors were dull, poorly lit. It is in dire need of renovation.
This made the hotel a bit of a ghost town, there was only 2 staff the entire time.

It has all the facilities you need if your planning a stay for short period of time. Confortable rooms, clean bathrooms, satellite tv. Furthermore it is situated in the ideal location for pilgrims and tourists to visit sacred city. Service in overall was really good. Staff was really friendly and helpful. We had Sri Lankan food and the quality was satisfactory.
But the hotel lack certain conforts such as swimming pool, pool table and at-least a garden to walk around. Its more like a apartment in colombo. But I recommend this hotel for short stay, ideally for a overnight stay.

We paid a deposit but, after one look at the hotel and our room, didn't stay and lost the deposit. The place was so sad and tired looking, nothing like the pictures. Just a depressing place. Why stay there on your vacation?

We stayed here for one night during a four-day tour of northern Sri Lanka. It was by far the best hotel we stayed in during the trip!
Staff were extremely pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent with a great view of the town and everything a tourist needs! The bathroom was modern with a wonderful shower and plenty of hot water, a hair drier and spotlessly clean. The room itself was large had TV, an empty fridge, a kettle with tea and coffee sachets and a good air-conditioner. There were also two comfortable chairs, coffee table and a writing desk as well as the beds.
We stayed on a half-board basis. The food was exceptionally good, beautifully cooked and well-presented, with a choice of both Sri Lankan and Western menus. The restaurant is well-furnished and impressive. Both dinner and breakfast were enjoyable events.
There was free Wi-Fi in the reception area which was a bonus. The only thing missing was a bottle of water in our room!
This hotel is one I would go back to as it was of such a very high quality.

An over night stay on a business trip. The first impression is is a bit irritating , the parking lot is on the opposite side , so you have to lug your bags in a bit inconveniently .The carpeted public areas smell musty as if there is not much hoovering and shampooing done. The rooms are large and clean, the toilets are clean, towels are worn thin and pillows rock hard.
The tea making equipment and TV facilities are functioning well. The wall sockets are well placed
The decor ( to my taste ) is eye poppingly bad . An eclectic selection of mismatched pictures ,sofas ,chairs ,vases which look as if they have been dredged out of a bargain basement, with no sense of cohesion. are thrown together in awful juxtaposition . Sitting in the middle of an wonderful archaeological site ,there are very few pictures or statues of the beautiful dagobas, ponds and tank systems historical site displayed within the hotel.
The dinner was so so- a watery soup was served and returned .A better version followed. The grilled chicken was soused in sauces . The Western breakfast was edible but uninspiring with too much oil. The chef could do with some retraining .
Obviously one does not go to this hotel for the ambiance or food. It is the convenience. What might make it worthwhile is the great service - very cheerful, extremely helpful with a lot of smiles.

After a one-night visit last year we returned for three days in May. Staff at the hotel were welcoming again, being both friendly and professional - especially Subhash. The rooms were excellent - large, spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable. As it was off-season there were only a few guests and we appreciated the hotel staff asking us to choose our menu earlier in the evening to prevent us having to wait for the meal to be prepared!
The hotel is in an excellent position for visiting Anuradhapura town and the surrounding sights. We enjoyed a safari at Wilpattu National Park during our stay.
I can recommend this hotel as a great place to stay!

Stayed in this hotel for a night on transit - generally a good hotel with spacious room and good bathroom. Guest room well lighted. This is not a pricey hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. My room had 5 wall sockets to fit international power plugs - that was wonderful. Even 5 Star hotels often do not consider this small detail. No internet connectivity in the guest room, though. For internet connectivity one has to go to the hotel lobby on the third floor. The location of the hotel is good, it is in the heart of the city and seemed to be fully occupied. Had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant - both good. The television channels in the room need modernization. I found only the BBC in the English language news. The window of my room on the fourth floor opened to a green area - very quiet and pleasing to see. There are mosquitoes in the hotel lobby area.

Hotel Dulyana is an ideal location for an overnight stay in Anuradhapura. The rooms are comfortable and spaciou whilst the toilets are clean and well equipped. The rooms are air conditioned, consist of a mini bar and has a satellite TV connection. The breakfast buffet was great as well. Whilst the hotel does not have a swimming pool or sprawling gardens and is situate atop a shopping centre, it is definitely a comfortable rest for pilgrims as well as sight seeing tourists. Recomandable.

The hotel is well located in the mid of the city. But the rooms are seems to be alright but when you see the details then you can understand the issues, especially in the forth floor. Small issues like Toilets flat, water flow, water leakage may few of the other issues. But in terms of price and facilities worth for choosing for few days stay.
