The hotel consists of a main building with the reception und the restaurant and many bungalows which are located between palm trees and green bushes. The double room was quite spacious. The bath was okay, but many insects found their way through the bathroom window. There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, but free at reception. When you go for... More

We enjoyed our previous stay at this hotel but definitely not this time. Reception staff were not over enthusiastic on arrival. All rooms are bungalow style. We were put in a room close to the lake with no telephone working. This was a bit alarming, in view of my husband's heart condition, as we were unable to make emergency calls.... More

As regular visitors to Sri Lanka and having stayed in dozens of different hotels during the past 30 years, our overall impression was one of extreme disappointment. The location and setting of the hotel is superb but sadly the service and, in particular the food, come no way near matching this. There were less than 12 guests when we stayed... More

We stayed for one night as we visited Anuradhapura. The hotel was well integrated into the surroundings so great if you want to get away from it all. The room was well decorated but was full of mosquitoes no matter what we did. Food was decent, though staff seemed surprised when food ran out and didn't seem to be prepared... More

The situation, in acres of trees, is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with comfortable beds but our sleep was disturbed twice during the night by luggage trolleys pulled over the stone walk ways. The noise was amazing! Don't the porters realize that people are trying to sleep! The shower nozzles in the bathroom were blocked so we... More

The hotel rooms are in a nice garden-style setting which requires a fair bit of walking to some rooms. Rooms are very spacious with the usual amenities. For dinner there is only a set buffet which was ok but not really great. The 'live' kitchen offerings were quite hard and dry - we tried the chicken and pork. The salads... More

This is a nice estate-style place with 2-3 rooms sharing a building. The rooms are a bit dark but are very nice and large, even with a sitting/TV area. They provide places to sit outside each room but it may be full of mosquitoes at night. It can be seemingly quite a walk, dark at night, to your room though... More

The Palm Garden Village is an amazing looking hotel with bungalow rooms in a forest like setting even though the land was bare 20 years ago! Things grow fast here... Staff were pretty good but didn’t give us any information about the hotel, restaurants, pool, property, etc on arrival. Clientele were a 50/50 mix of foreign tourists and local tourists.... More
