Nestle with sky of Anuradhapura. Your rooms are at 3rd floor, and it allows you to view spectacle views of ancint stupas, lakes and forest from your room and even from your bathroom. All the rooms are with Air conditioning, private bathroom with Hot Water, Flat Screen TV, Room wifi, and a nice Balcony. All the city provided facility can reach by 5 minutes walk. Banks, Pizza Hut, Super Markets and New Bus Station can reach by 5 minutes walk. New Railway Station is only 10 minutes walk distance.

Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Do not expect cocktail bar and infinity pool at this resort! It is a modest, and modestly priced guesthouse perched high on top of a building in central Anuradhapura. With a lovely garden/terrace to sit in it felt miles from the noise and traffic. The rooms while quite small are very comfortable and clean. The really great thing about this stay though is the hosts, Nadeeka and Kalum. They really make you feel at home and Nadeeka's cooking is so good - we did not have a better meal anywhere in Sri Lanka. Good points: the oasis above the streets, the care, kindness and wonderful food. Bad points: avoid if you don't like stairs.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed delicious homemade dinner and breakfast. We stayed in the room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet even though hotel is situated centrally. Roof terrace is a nice large space to relax. Very friendly hosts. Owner took us around Minthale and was very knowledgeable about history and Buddhism. Worth asking him to guide you round all the historical sites. Worth every penny.

The accommodation is in the centre of the city, so everything is easily accessible. The owners are extremely kind, and you will have some amazing food if you decide to eat at their place as well! The room is spacious with good airconditioning and a big mosquito net.

Wonderful stay in Anuradhapura. Hotel is close to ancient city. Only downside we had no windows in our room. Staff were great and owners were fabulous with where to go and what to do. Can rent bikes from them. They have secure parking. The food is amazing well worth getting dinner and breakfast there.

Perfect place in Anuradhapura for family staying. Safely and clean. Calm environment , Our room was pretty big. Clean. The balcony/view was awesome ! The bed was incredible. Comfy. The bathroom was good. Hot water. Fresh towels. The Owner and all the people over there were Kind. Smiling. Helpful. It was a pleasure. Thanks to everyone ! Highly recommended place.like to visit again. Thank you sacred city resort Hotel.

Calm and quiet place with beautiful views. Very spacious, Even though the place was located at the main road of the city, we didn't feel it at all. Very helpful and friendly owners. The rooms were cleaned and arranged in comfortable and spacious way.

After taking the 2+hour hot and cramped bus ride from negombo we were so excited to be greeted by a lovely host who immediately brought out some cold refreshing fruit juice. The family who runs this guesthouse was so lovely - drove us to the sri maha bodi temple at night to visit with the pilgrims and recommended/helped organise trips for our days spent in Anuradhapura. There is a beautiful rooftop space to sit and enjoy a drink and dinner. And you MUST get the Sri Lankan dinner here (and the breakfast too!). Probably the best home cooked food we had all trip (which is saying a lot as we stayed at 8 different places all together!!).

Stayed for 2 nights on arrival looks like a building site! But get past the work in progress and you will meet the nicest family very very helpful Kalum the owner did everything possible to make our stay a good holiday memory. On arrival get past the building work the rooms are large clean and everything is still very new. There is a fridge for use with a small freezer compartment which was very useful to keep a beer cold. The showers were hot bathroom bright and clean. The beds were very comfortable with mosquito nets over them. I would definetly stay here against. I almost forgot to say you can hire bikes which are in excellent condition 400 a day great for getting to the sacred city and cycling around. Location perfect as many cheap places to eat on the street outside, Sacred city about 10-15 minutes cycle ride.

the sacred city is currently under construction, but already has some rooms, which are really clean and spacias. it's a family running hotel. there is a huge terrace and they're constructing the roof. there you have a nice view over Anuradhapura! they also offer really delicious rice & curry... hmmm yammie. they even considered our wishes for a special curry (pumpkin). it's a bit tricky to find it. the entrance is behind the building. we can highly recommend this place! it's still under construction, but considering the high standard, it's really affordable.

Staying here with my wife. The owner met us at train station and picked us with heavy bag up to the room. The hotel is brand new, so the room is perfect. Owner provided us with everything we need, told us where to go, Suggested to pick us up where we want for free. Amazing breakfast was included, very tasty dinner was provided for very small money. It was the most delicious meal on Sri Lanka. Every dish was new, there were no similar dishes. He provided mosquito net for bed. Thank you very much!!!
