The hotel is set in the woods, with nothing much around, except spectacular greenery! The rooms are well anointed, and we had a very comfortable stay. While we stayed here only for one night, this is a perfect location to visit Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle; if I were to do this again, I would stay here for 2-3 nights and...

Stayed two nights with breakfast and dinner included. Premises are well maintained and very spacious, which is nice but means a rather long walk from parking to the reception and lobby building, and from there to room. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and bathrooms especially large. Dinner was set-menu on first night and buffet on second night - both were...

I stayed at Thilanka Spa with a group tour for two nights. It is set in the woods, with nothing within walking distance so very quiet and serene. It is a little quirky, the rooms have huge soaking pools, but it must take for ever to fill them. The doors to the rooms are double doors, but together the same...

This is our second visit to this lovely hotel. I like this place because it is so close to nature. The grounds are very well maintained and most of the food we ate came from the vegetable gardens which was super fresh. The rooms are quite nice and big. The bathroom are very modern, big and clean. Staff was very...

We have stayed just for a night at this nice hotel. It is very well situated for visiting Polonnaruwa, Dambula and Sigirya. It has a wonderful garden with many tropical trees. The rooms are big and the bathrooms have huge bathtubs. We have had also a good dinner. The staff is very welcoming.

We stayed at Thilanka resort for one night and it all started with big mess. Booking the room by Agoda, the address was given that the resort is situated in Sigirya City not Dambulla. So, it meant losing precious time and taxi money. The resort itself is at first glance 5 star. We were given an upgrade to Luxury room...

A really good stay at this hotel. The lobby, bar and restaurant are located in the main modern open plan building with swimming pool extending through one side of the building. The area has a great atmosphere especially in the evening and is a great place for pre dinner drinks. All the staff be it in the restaurant , reception...

That place looks very very special. Beautiful, maintained garden in the middle of the jungle, tastefully designed buldings, clean pool. I absolutely loved the room. I loved how big and airy it was, I was happy it had a jacuzzi, big windows, a balcony overlooking the garden. The staff was nice and helpful. They had a room for our driver...

We stayed 3 nights in the Thilanka and everything went very well. The mango forest is magnificent and the hotel is close to Dambulla's main attraction. The service and the food buffet were really good! The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms come with a shower and a bath! The only negative point we saw concerns the rooms : they...

Modest sized hotel which we appreciate in a lovely setting amongst a mango orchard. Pity it was not the fruiting season during our stay!! Rooms might be considered functional but they claim to be eco friendly; food and drink very good. In fact an excellent barman in Mahis. My wife had a massage but she rated it as hardly average.
