We were initially a bit worried on arrival at the hotel, it seemed shabby the staff very friendly bit also a little shabby, but having paid a ridiculously small amount though Mercury Direct to get there and having read previous reviews on trip advisor we were prepared to pay more and go else where. We decided to spend a night...

We booked through Mercury Direct, flew with Emirates, via Dubai. My only Critisism is it is described as A Beach Hotel, but unfortunately you cannot swim off...

There are very many similar hotels to this one in Sri Lanka, close to the beach and catering for the package holiday maker. This is one such hotel. I do consider myself qualified to comment on hotels in Sri Lanka, having stayed in about 30 different establishments all around the country in the last 10 years. In order to stand...

We stayed at Hibiscus Hotel in September. When we enter the room it was in a shabby status not cleaned properly. In the restaurant , you find flies everywhere. My partner got very sick after eating the food there. It was food poisoning. Never go to Hibiscus, if you are on Holiday. Not worth even staying.

You have to driwe for about two and a half hours with tuk-tuk to get to the beach where you can swimm. But people are nice and friendly,...

The hotel was lovely. Relaxed and peaceful and very clean. Probably due to the fact there were only a handful of guests there. At one point only 3 rooms were occupied which was great as most days we had the pool to ourselves. However, this did have restrictions on the menu options. We rarely had a buffet type menu as...

Originaly we booked for 1 night as we wern't sure if We'd like it, and thought we could probably get a cheaper deal locally. When we arrived at the hibiscus it was like a quiet haven, just a few couples around the pool,...
