We spent one evening in this hotel (during the first week in December 2013) and had a very nice breakfast the next morning. The manager, Joseph is a real gentleman and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. In addition the hotel is exceptionally reasonably priced with an incredible view. We were privileged to see a flock...

A great hotel with a friendly staff, we really had a pleasant stay at Majestic Hotel. Location is good, in a quiet place and the room was clean, with a balcony and an amazing view. Moreover, the food in the restaurant was delicious, we ordered traditional dishes it was homemade and very tasty.

I booked a dorm room but since we are in low season in Sri Lanka and I would have been on my own the owner upgraded me to a double room for free. The bed costs 1800lkr which is good value for a nice clean hotel with brilliant views. Not far from the Centre (TUKTUK of around 250lkr £1/$1.5) Please...

Very clean spacious rooms. Breakfast was great on a terrace with a beautiful view. The owner was very helpful and helped us with getting our next bus. The hotel is walkable from the centre of town or a cheap tuk tuk when dark and close to the lake. Wifi wasn't the best. Would highly recommend.

It's alright! The staff are friendly and helpful and it is a nice place to stay. It's on the cheaper side of Kandy and is on the outskirts, but it is walkable if you want to head down to the lake. The hotel has a tuktuk you can hire which is cheap, and they are good at hiring cars for...

First stop in Sri Lanka from the airport and checked in with a smile at 3am, Family run and very helpful with info and any requests. Food was excellent. Curry and rice good as any. Great view from the roof and lovely walk downhill and then by the lake into Kandy. Rooms clean and OK. Good value.

Amazing views from our room and the roof top restaurant. It appeared that they were lacking in staff though. We couldnt check in for some time as there was no staff around and breakfast also took a while. It appeared that there was only the manager and one staff member running the quite large hotel. Although, I must add that...

I stayed here with 2 friends for 3 nights. The room was basic but clean and with everything you need. What really makes this hotel though is the owners. Joseph and Kumari are 2 of the most welcoming and helpful people I have met when travelling. Kumari drew up an itinerary for us for a day out. She took us...

I was traveling with my friends and our driver messed up our plans by taking us to the hotel even though we were supposed to go to the hotel another day. We arrived around 1AM and everyone was sleeping already. While we were sitting in the car feeling confused, the driver started waking the hotel staff up. We felt really...

We very much enjoyed taking breakfast on the terrasse with a beautiful view. Nice breakfast (even though the jam could be improved). Nice dinner cooked by the owners. They were also very friendly and gave a lot of good advice and gave us occasionally a lift to town. Good Wifi, also in rooms on last floor. Once we got an...
