We stayed two nights in Kandy and this guesthouse made the city a highlight of our trip. We arrived at the bus station a little lost but I just handed over the number to the tuktuk driver and within no time Kumari was welcoming us at her door. The place could be a little hard to find the first time,...

The guest house was hiding in plain sight and our tuk tuk driver missed it a few times and took a full hour to find it. The room was basic and clean, but the water pressure in the bathroom was not too good. The mattress was good for a good night's sleep, but there was a train coming right at...

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience in Kumari’s home. I was traveling solo for my short stay (7 days) in Sri Lanka and she was very helpful over email months before I arrived in helping me to figure out my best options for transfers from Kandy on-ward to my next destination (to climb Sri Pada.) The room...

This guest house is on the main street of Kandy - keep your eyes open or you could miss it. Surprisingly, the noise of the busy road disappears once you're inside. The guest house itself is really the home of the owners, but upstairs there are a number of small but comfortable rooms. We stayed for one night, but were...

Dinner could be served on request, the local taste yummy! When back at night, really enjoy sitting on the balcony and updating the blog via wifi. A great place worth staying in...

After 1 week in Sri Lanka this is so far the best guest house we have seen. This is a great place to stay at kandy, the house is really nice, rooms clean and comfortable, and relatively calm for Kandy. The rice and curry very good too.

We stayed for two non-consecutive nights either side of a trip to Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa. The home cooked local food was delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the Madugalle's were great hosts helping us and giving us great tips. The stay here is fantastic value and just what we needed on our trip to Kandy as part of...
